Stadium Discussion

Yeah whatever they do now after goals is terrible. Blitzkrieg Bob wasn't original but it was good and it got the crowd going.
It’s El Alfa, reggaeton (or more specifically dembow), from the DR where the sporting culture is centered on…baseball. No connection to the team or the sport. So lame. If you’re going to choose something Latin at least have it come from a soccer culture, or the city itself. Feels like someone in the FO said “we need a Latin goal song” and failed to do their research.

If they just want to include some song by a Latin artist, I say NYC Bronx born Cardi B, WAP.

Who's with me?

I still harbor a dream that “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” becomes our “You’ll Never Walk Alone” or “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.”
Everyone already knows it and I would love to troll the rest of MLS with it. And when we no longer play in baseball fields, it would be a nod to our legacy.

I’m still extremely salty about Blitzkrieg Bop disappearing.
Also helps that the chorus doesn't actually specify baseball except for the "'Cause it's one, two, three strikes yer out" line.

There really is no reason to ever play a song that isn't from a Queens born and or based artist. A partial list of such:
  • The Ramones
  • Nas
  • 50 Cent
  • KISS
  • LL Cool J
  • Nicki Minaj
  • Run DMC
  • Louis Armstrong
  • Jennifer Lopez
  • Cardi B
Can we not satisfy every interest group with this list?
