Question for the group, and probably has been discussed before.
Worst case scenario, if the Mets don’t let us use their parking spots, what are alternative options for the team? I’ll rest a lot easier knowing there are solid plan B options.

Agreement with the Mets regarding using parking spaces for the NYCFC stadium has not yet been reached. The team is going to include alternative solutions within the final Environmental Impact Statement regarding parking requirements for the stadium

Park at LGA and provide a shuttle?
Parking only available at the lot within the USTA Center (about 200 spots)?
Instead of parking passes, NYCFC to provide season/suite ticket holders with public transportation credits instead for LIRR/MetroNorth and Subway?

Yeah I was wondering if they would create a parking garage or lot for the stadium. Honestly, the end result is almost certainly going to be using the Citi Field parking lots. Cohen is holding that up for his casino. When he realizes the casino isn't happening, there's no reason to deny us access to the parking lots anymore.
And if he gets his casino, there's still no reason to deny us access to the lots because there will still be parking on-site.
There are plenty of garages in downtown Flushing. That's where I plan to park anyway for the pre and post-game dining.
There are parking lots over at the marina too. I think they can cobble something together that hits the threshold.
In the end, Steven Insider Trading Cohen will let us park there. Right now, he charges us $45/car. Say 2,500 cars park for a given game. That's $112,500 for that game. Multiply that times 20 games (and it will probably be more) and you get $2.25 million. Steven Insider Trading Cohen isn't the kind of guy who just leaves $2.25 million lying on the sidewalk when he can pick it up and pocket it.
Plus, if we have a plan that doesn't involve those lots, then we lose the reason why we don't schedule things at the same time as a Mets game, and he won't want that either.

Perhaps so, bit 2.25Mil is somewhere between a backup shortstop and a single A Draft pick and annual upkeep on a Hamptons crib— actually kinda pocket change and maybe not worth fighting over.

The Land Use Application for the Willets Point Phase 2 development, including the NYCFC stadium, was filed today.

And...if released, would this application have any juicy specific details about the project that may not have been released publicly yet?
There are going to be several documents available to the public very soon.
I'm sure there will be some details that haven't been released publicly yet, but I don't imagine it will be anything that is going to be particularly exciting for fans. But instead will be things related to how this development is going to fit into the fabric in Queens, how they are planning on addressing certain environmental issues, etc.

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be submitted and posted publicly as well, as early as next week. Like the ULURP submission, it is a highly technical document, and massive--if you can sit down and read it for more than 5 minutes, then hey the City could use a few good urban planners like you!
