Bit of a mixed bag. My two biggest observations:
1) Saunders was awful. Definitely should have saved Giovinco's goal, and he turned the ball over countless times with some terrible kicks and throws.
2) We knew Mendoza had pace, but he flashed some really nice technical skill out there too! Very solid first touch. It was only 25 minutes, but he looks quality for sure.

Really, really, really hope we stick with the back three. It gives players like Pirlo and Mix so much more freedom, which is something Kreis failed big time in doing.
Tough to draw because of individual mistaks, but I'm more optimistic after this draw than I was after the win versus Chicago.

Nice game against one of the best teams in the league. Dominated midfield. Hernandez is limited, but defense was decent in shutting down gio for almost the whole game.

Khiry is extremely inconsistent. I would swap him out for Mendoza and Saunders out for Johansen next game.

Agreed but I actually thought Hernandez played well. Saunders was real bad tonight. Overall we let a couple points slip but still a decent result.
Love the 3-2-2-3. I hope that is how we roll the rest of the year.

Brillant looked much better but still shaky at times.

I think I agree. I also noticed that on offense, Pirlo was dropping into the backline as a distributor, and on defense, Bravo was dropping into the backline. They were almost on a pulley at CB/DM.
The bad: Saunders is horrible, anyone that defends him at this point doesn't know soccer. Hernandez has horrible positioning, it showed this week, had a lot more to do with brillants bad game last week than people akowledge. Shelton needs to learn to dribble with his head up.
The good: mix and Villa looked great. Bravo fits well next to Pirlo, Mendoza looks very promising. Offense looks like it will be fun to watch all year.

Saunders and Hernandez have no business starting. We missed some great chances but I see promise in many of our new acquisitions. High hopes for the season ahead. I like 3 in the back, I like our offensive mindset, both huge improvement from last year in my mind.
Mendoza is fast good touch I expect good things form him, Taylor should of been kept on and Mendoza subbed for Shelton. Shelton has certainly improved I didnt like the sub for Lopez. Pirlo and Villa had great games lot of spirit and drive. Mix fantastic workhorse as always. TMac seemed to disappear at times for me but put in a solid showing. Mata was a great acquisition and he will help take the team far. Bravo is just the kind of player we need to orbit Villa. He did good work there.
No idea where Poku is. Would like to see White Poku get some times in. White should of started over Hernandez.

Tom I thought Hernandez played well, especially after the debacle last week.
Sorry I can't agree with your opinion on Hernandez this week. I thought he was solid
I am surprised you survived last season lol
While Khiry was terrible attacking tonight, he was great getting back to defend which is a trait that many wingers need but lack.

I think pv is protecting Taylor as he's coming off a significant injury. Agree he looks better than Shelton, hopefully later in the year its Shelton who comes off.
