anyone else watching? Local boy pitching, as US makes its first ever final.

Kind of weird that we are playing Puerto Rico.

Apparently, Stroman's mom has received nasty social media messages since she is Puerto Rican, thus making him eligible for either team.

I've been loving this tournament.

I was at Colombia v USA in Miami.

I don't think 2 runs will be enough to win this game. I think we need 2 more runs at least.

Interesting that Hosmer has been getting all the starts at first base.

Paul Goldschmidt's advanced stats are light years better than Hosmer's over the last couple of yearsz.

I've been following but have only watched the final round. I wish they had games in the northeast for this tournament but unfortunately because of the weather that won't happen.

The attendance for the US-Japan game was 33K attendance. There are about 14K seats left in Dodger Stadium. Yeah, it was raining but what a game. Sad attendance.

We bout to win this shit, y'all. Hell yeah.

Stroman stuck it up their asses. And let them know about it.

WORLD CHAMPIONS! WIN! WIN! WIN!

It makes me really happy for Stroman. Fuck some people who would go after a guy's mom because he chose to play for a team representing where he grew up.

Hell, like I said, Lugo is about as Puerto Rican as I am.

If only Canada wasn't so Canada, people would be shitting on Sydney Leroux.

Think if Dom Dwyer plays for the US one day. Both him and his wife would have given up their home countries to play for the US.

There's still nothing like the final out in a baseball championship. It has a finality that other sports lack.

Baseball really is an amazing game for the thinking man. It's too bad that the season and games have gotten so long that I can't watch it regularly. I used to love baseball more than life, I think. And now, I only see the shadows of the shadows on the cave.

The Japanese style of play is extremely thinking. Small ball. Hits, walks, bunts. Advance the man. Play for the team. Watching a game there is like soccer in Europe.

I don't think the last out in baseball is the best finality in sports. I prefer moments that end the game at the last second. A walk off home run. A buzzer beating shot.

Homerun is the same thing.

Buzzer beater is sort of similar, but that's still not the same sort of finality. It's basically random when you have a decisive moment that actually ends any other game (in the course of regular play, not some farce of the normal rules).
