Sounds low but I'm told a regular Real or Barca match (not against each other) only draws like 95k, so in that context, not bad at all. Especially when you realize Jersey/Sporting game was kicking off at like 11pm over there.
Whitecaps v TFC season opener on @MLSonTSN sets new Canadian #MLS audience record with 353,000 average audience. Nearly 2 million people in Canada tuned in to watch the game at some point. That's incredible for Canada. 1/10 the population so that'd be like 3 million+ viewership for USA.
A good start for MLS. It'll be interesting to see how NYCFC/Orlando did nationally here -- especially with the move to Fox Sports.
