2016 Jersey Thread

Hi, I'm from England. Really got into the MLS last season and became very fond of NYCFC. I want to purchase a home jersey but wasn't too sure if they will be changing it for the upcoming season? I would rather have the most current. I hear they're getting a new away jersey but not heard anything about a home change. Hopefully you guys can help me.

Home jersey isn't changing apart from the removal of the inaugural season patch on the waist.

Yes of course. Thanks for that. Any idea of when they will be available in store (without the inaugural season patch)? Will there be much difference in price? It might be worth just buying the jersey that's available now and get it earlier.

No announcement that I'm aware of, but the MLS store has 2016 jerseys for other teams up for sale already, so they might just be selling down the old stock first. Price presumably will be the same or similar as last year's.

Should note that the replicas don't have the patch, so it's only a factor if you want an authentic.

I'd like to think that if other teams are already selling their new jerseys, and yet NYCFC has not even had an official announcement regarding the Seismic Blue, that perhaps there's still a chance that the shipping container(s) were lost at sea to a rogue wave while en route from Adidas' sweat shops..... Or a giant octopus grabbed the containers off the ship..... Or somebody forgot to actually place the order.....

In all seriousness, the lack of a roll-out is surprising - aren't we the last club to make them known?

Don't think so, but I don't pay a ton of attention to what other teams do. There are 2015 jerseys for other teams for sale on the MLS store as well.

There are probably a few other teams looking to show off a new kit this year, since there isn't any "Jersey Week" this year there is more of a freedom for them to release the kits whenever they want before the season. May also be waiting for the kraken to release the kits so they can sell them...

May even be some third kits by some teams released a few months into the year too. Didn't SKC release their third jersey (white/ silver argyle kit) a few months into the year "randomly" or on a random date??

I am on board. I think there is some overcompensating for balance with the bland home jersey. But like with our away jersey last year (don't fool yourselves, it was a wacky look) it's different in a way that qualifies as cool. It will certainly pop on the pitch as well. Come on, embrace it!

I just noticed from this photos, the circles become horizontal stripes around the belly. This will definitely not help Cookie Burger achieve the slimming look he's going for. Might as well just hand the bloke a pint when he's on the bench.
