For clarity, I'd rather hit myself in my genitals with a rubber mallet than go to a game in Connecticut.

Everything you say is true, but that's not the point. You made the email address mandatory and that's just bad behavior. If you had the poll and then also an "oh by the way, if you want to be on our limited new-podcast-drops email list fill this in" field that would have been fine. I have no problem with a polite email address request I can either use or ignore, but making it mandatory was the crappier, more disrespectful choice.
Thank you for this constructive feedback, rather than emotional bash of us and what we post. We saw this as an opportunity to engage with more NYCFC fans beyond the show and it was received with mixed feelings. Believe it or not, many have filled it out despite the few who are displeased with the page. So again, thanks for not being a jerk about it. :)

That being said, we actually spend hours upon hours creating fan based content, from the actual show to video interviews, to custom content. All for fans. Not for money (cuz we don't make any).

I don't care one way or another but I think the point here is that it took you like 4 days to even realize and respond to the criticism.

J Joseph Bianco I'm not going to lose sleep over whether or not you like what we post or do. Just because I don't live in this forum every day, doesn't make me any less of a community member. I'm a season ticket holder, a podcast host, and fan content creator. You can either consume it or not. That's the beauty of it. We're on the same damn team dude.

You don't want us to email you about new episodes? Then don't fill out the form. It's gonna be okay.

I wasn't arguing with you nor do I care, just trying to tell you why you're receiving backlash

THanks for doing this . I am PISSY about this change of Venue. this is why took the poll. I did had a concern about my name. However I did a double take on I, decided logically ,what the heck , once a person logs in a computer Your whole life its out there whether you have make believe name or real one.

I am not going.
Can I know what you hope to achieve with the poll results??
We're going to share the results we collected in our next episode. Believe it or not, I've spoken with Jon Patricof and when he saw the Dudes in Blue name he said, oh I listen to you guys! So we're just trying to do our part in bringing more attention to this from the fan's point of view.

Adding that I will continue to listen to your podcast regardless of a possible misunderstanding/mistake
Thank you! I appreciate that. I understand why people may think our poll was "shady" but people really need to know that we love the team as much as all of them do and that's really the ONLY reason we do anything.

Real quick...

I've avoided commenting on anything you post here but this one is pretty rich so here we go finally.

Why should anyone here care anything about your show? You have NO relationship here. You come, post your content and that's it. People are uncomfortable giving you their e-mail address because they don't know who you are. Then "Bigant" creates an account to "school" us? LMAO! You gotta be kidding me. "We'd just like the opportunity to gain more people to interact with and share what we do." Key word: INTERACT. Our regulars converse here daily about a range of things. Get in the conversation instead of just dropping your podcast off.
Thanks for the feedback on this. To your point about no one here caring about the show, we actually generate a substantial amount of web listeners from this forum. Many of which we engage with on other social channels like FB and Twitter.

Post more than once. Or more than once a week. Otherwise, you're shysters. Actually, don't. And I'm going to stop not reporting that you guys post in the wrong section every single week and no one responds. We don't listen here. Go away or at least to the proper section.
If I'm posting in the wrong section, maybe someone could point that out to me directly? To no one responding to our post...they respond by listening to the show as well as interacting with the player interview videos we get. We know for a fact that the forum has listeners. It's okay if you're not one of them. We still love you for being an NYCFC fan.

To your point about no one here caring about the show

Why should anyone here care anything about your show?

Not for nothing. I don't appreciate this. Esp as a member of the third rail, which we promote regularly btw. And I'm not trying to school anyone, just get facts out there that we do this for fun (since we're being accused of monetizing). We bring a lot of stuff to the table not many fans can see. I'll post more regularly. But with a full time job, a family and 4 hours of commuting every day it's not easy to be on here a lot, which is why I wasn't a member. Our shows sets time aside when we can fully interact. Again as much as I respect what you do for the third rail I'm not less of a fan bc we don't post here as often as others. I was sticking up for us being accused of making money or doing wrong with listener info

It's hard to hear tone in forum. That's why time in is important because you learn that as you learn the communication style of your fellow forum members. I'm just talking to you and trying to have you understand why people had issue with your poll and it's format. You guys are conflating the issue and missing the point.

The rules HERE have already been defined by the people who post here on a regular basis. It's a web forum... the entire premise here is written communication! The people HERE have built a relationship of some sort and the players here understand each other to one degree or another. You have not been a player here. That is objective fact. The Dudes in Blue account has not been a significant player here either. That is objective fact. The account has 148 posts.

All I'm trying to communicate to you is that relationships matter. Just because you have a podcast doesn't mean any of us have to listen to it or even care that it exists. The onus is on you and your team to get people to engage and just dropping it in here with little to no context or engagement led to the response you got. It seems to me that people felt like you tried to trick them into giving you their e-mail addresses and I can't really blame them. Nobody likes to feel like they've been tricked.

I never questioned your fandom. I never said nobody cares about your podcast. I never said you need to post at the rate the regulars do. I just think that it would be helpful for you to build relationships rather than just dropping your content on people.

Not a problem. for me honestly, I prefer fb and twitter to forum but we do know a lot of people here listen and we're sure even more would enjoy. There ta very passionate group on here (which is good). I personally can interact more often. Not at the rate of some regulars obviously. I would just like to state moving forward everything we do is for the fans. I don't get paid. And I certainly don't want to argue or fight with fellow fans on here. I much prefer the positive feedback or constructive criticism rather than accusations that's all. I appreciate your your advice

Not sure if I should suggest this here or the other thread about the Hartford match but there is a Hartford City in the PDL (debuted this year) think their supporters group is The Agents of Hale might it be worth reaching out to them about bringing a presence to the match ? I know they have their own team but PDL is so far removed from MLS not sure it's mutually exclusive (though their might be more REVS fans in their ranks due to it being Northern Connecticut)
