I agree with not having a MLS league wide deal. Don't know if that will ever happen at this time in the game, pun intended. Not every team has the pull and notoriety just yet. Maybe in due time. As it goes for me I'm on team Nike and team Kappa when it comes to clean full uniform designs, and regarding actual apparel quality Nike for sure hands down. Adidas can make some cool looking stuff, unfortunately the MLS kits are design by Adidas America. I love Adidas Juventus 2016/2017 Home and Blue Away Kits. And this years Juventus 2017/2018 Home Kit only, and the Juventus' 120th Anniversary Kit. At least some actual thought went into the designs.

I'm just totally blown away and disappointed by the crap :eek: Adidas America MLS fan team apparel that actually makes it into the production phase.

Just remember that the league wide deal pays for Generation Adidas too.

That's not to say that we shouldn't be opening up the bidding, but Adidas paid a hefty sum to the league.

The problem becomes, in a closed system, how do you allow each team to go get their own kit deal from Adidas, UA or Nike?

Certainly, the league-wide deal is probably significantly more lucrative for the collective, and probably all individual teams as well.
I'm not sure we'll see a split deal, even if single entity vanishes, for quite some time.

It would be nice to see a bit more variety, but it's not a significant deal to me. I'm only interested in one teams jersey, and if I don't like a version, such as this year's ugly (imo) away, I can still wear last years!

Teams would/should just have to contribute to the Generation Adidas (probably gets a new name like when Project-40 died) account separately, and those teams should factor the contribution in to their kit negotiations.

So Minny's new replica and authentic jerseys have different collar styles. Holding out hope for buttons on the new Authentic.
