2023 NYCFC Kit Thread

It reminds me of Algae. Which isn’t great. Vermont green did an excellent version of what adidas should have done pictured below. But honestly would it have been that hard to put an outline of Central Park with paths around it with a few landmarks across the jersey? Or hell think out of the box and put Prospect park or Governor’s island or battery park. There was a lot that could have been better executed. I am a parkie so I’ll be buying this and I’m hoping it looks better in person and on the real release. But I’ll always wonder what could have been.
So the first pic was from the Pele store in Time Square. The second is from the Toronto Jersey announcement. There are clearly differences in the kits I.e. the star, sleeve sponsors, and sleeve cuffs. This confirms authentic and replica kits.
I looked for both the NYC and NJRB third kits in the pele store, neither were there
If you had asked me which NY team would be the one to have a Hip Hop themed jersey for the 50th Anniversary, I would have guessed the one based in the South Bronx

The bench seems to be a reference to not sitting in the supporters section.
The open drink container seems to suggest you shouldn't throw it on the field or at fans.
We stand at matches, cheer the team on, don't throw stuff onto the field, and paint tifo.
