I watched their first match at my friends place in Orlando and they looked bad. Can’t buildup through the midfield to save their life. Lots of long balls. We should take this one handily. I think they created maybe 1 chance the entire match. We both said it was one of the worst games of football we’d seen in some time.

Interesting. I had assumed the opposite but the only game I saw them play to date was against Cincy so you can’t really take anything away from that. I’m still in my sussing teams out mode for the first 6-8 games but curious to see how this shakes out.

I do think there will be some interesting matchups on the pitch: Nani v Tinny, Mueller v. Gudi/Amundsen.

Maybe it’s just the residue of last year’s playoffs, but I feel about Orlando the way I felt about RB for the first few years: they just get the better of us.

We should give thanks that Dike is in Merry Ol’ England.
Comparatively, Orlando managed a draw on the road against (SKC), a draw with ATL at home and beat up on Cincy. We did loose to DC on the road and were kind of fortunate in Philly while we also beat up on lowly Cindy.
I’d be surprised if we “took this one handily”
Orlando always seems to be a tough game for NYCFC and we are on the road but if this is the year to change that... how sweet it would be. I think a win at Orlando would be the most encouraging of the year so far. The Philly match was too wonky for me to get confident about where this team is at right now.

Orlando was a good team last year and should be thought of as a good team this year. It certainly should be the best team we've played to this point - with a depleted and distracted Philly team not counting as much as it usually should.

They're good in back - they've only given up 1 goal so far this year. Mueller and Nani are both quality. It's going to be tough, and its on the road.

This game will be tough for 2 reasons:

1. It’s early in the season so Nani hasn’t hit his late season slump yet
2. Mueller drinks NYCFC tears.

NYCFC also seems to always give up goals on awful mistakes vs Orlando. A draw would be a fine result.
