LMAO at people ranting about shake shake and missing the 1st half waiting on line.
Dude, you gotta have a *strategy* to get your Shack Burger, ya know? Get there when the gates open, walk straight up to the counter and get your burger, mosey on over to the seats out in left field and sit there for batting practice as you happily enjoy your meal while dodging the occasional long home run ball and hoping your napkins don't blow away in the wind. Works like a charm. Same advice for a soccer match except without the fly balls.

The Official Citi Field slogan: Eat burgers, but be smaht about it.™

Because none and i mean NONE of the fans live on LI. They couldn't support the jets or nets or islanders who all left.
no heart or soul on the island

Hmm. Actually a good percentage of this forum is from LI.

The jets were never in LI, only their practice facilities. They made the mistake of moving to NJ and then re-upping there. Didn't make sense to practice in LI and play in NJ.

The Nets also made the mistake of moving to NJ to capture an untapped market. Only to move back to Brooklyn years later.

And LI did support the Islanders. It was a the politicians that cock blocked Charles Wang from building a new arena complex, so he was forced to move to Brooklyn. But all the LI supporters aren't showing up there. And NYC isn't supporting a hockey team. So, they are moving back to Bellmont.

I think someone on this forum is feeling the butt hurt of NYCFC moving to queens and away from his Northen Burbs and is lashing out at Long Island. Enjoy your extra 15 minute commute when we build at Willets, I'm sure all your bitching and passive aggressive behavior will make it feel so much better.

Its about 5 minutes difference if I drive, more on the train.
Teams on the island, the Nets and Islanders, are at the bottom in attendance.

Nets haven't played in Long Island in 30 years. Isles had god awful teams the last 2 decades and an old stadium too small for NHL standards before they moved. When they were good the place was almost full. Also, half of Long Island are Rangers fans, splintering the fan base. When it comes to soccer, you'd have the almost full LI fan base to draw from (aside for some diehard NJRB fans). Probably a larger base then Westchester has to offer.

westchester, ct and nj combined.
Plus, we're not saying "move the stadium to long island" but realistically, there is more support from long island than said areas. but, if they did move the stadium closer to long island, those fans would show up more.

Can't help but feel this is way off base without verified stats. The teams sole job is to market this team to fans in the region and the fact that LI was left off is telling. If they just "forgot" to add it to the survey then why not update it? If it was intentionally left off, then one would have to assume that it's because the draw there is negligible.

Moved (back) to Westchester recently and was pleasantly surprised by how many logos I have seen on both kids and adults out and about. The kicker was walking into a coffee shop and seeing a framed team signed jersey.

Two things:

- The team is doing it's due diligence in a search for an arena.
- The club was absolutely slaughtered for submitting a bid.

slaughtered by some not by others but this conversation has been had in this forum enough so im not gonna rehash it.

Personal experience, ive been to long island tailgates as well as watch parties and they draw good crowds. Don't even know of any westchester supporters groups nor have i seen them organize any kind of anything.

I'm not going to argue personal experience. My personal experience could indicate many a thing but none of that matters. Real research matters.

With that said, it's probably time for me to sign off for the day.

you've talked about all this research but you don't seem to have done any.... then presented no proof but an opinion and used it as facts?
