Fair enough but would we have that attendance even if it was at YS? I have my doubts
no not for 6 PM, but if we had kickoff at 8 like atlanta i think we do, just barely breaking 10K.

Sometimes that happens when you play soccer in a football stadium.Just in case you thought we were alone in our misery.
You are spot on. Atlanta's newspaper did a 5 full page Season preview of the team within the last week. There are soccer fans in NYC who don't know NYCFC exists and plays at Yankee Stadium.Yes I think automobile culture might play a part in Atlanta attendance but I also think the oversaturation of sports teams in New York (possibly mixed with just so much to do in general) hurts us in comparison to somewhere like Atlanta. My brother has lived in Atlanta for 20 plus years he's not especially a soccer fan but he's well aware of what United are doing and tells me they get a decent amount of media coverage there. They have been the most successful Atlanta sports team since their founding and since Atlanta lost their NHL team and only have one team in each of the other sports there's a lot less competition for room in the sports section.
1-1 yesIf they get a draw, Seattle goes through right?
LAFC looked good. Hard to believe Leon was the same team from the first leg. Home game may have helped but can’t explain how LAFC was so dominant. NYCFC is gonna need their A+ game just to keep in the game when they visit the Banc.LAFC just did the almost impossible.
Seattle heading to penalties!
exciting wow.
I didn't watch the match, only the highlights on the MLS app, and with it being MLS edited highlights, who knows what I didn't see. But LAFC should have won the leg last night 6-0. And that Rossi goal was just straight drunk.LAFC looked good. Hard to believe Leon was the same team from the first leg. Home game may have helped but can’t explain how LAFC was so dominant. NYCFC was about 30 seconds away from having Alianza, Montreal and Olimpia as their side of the bracket to the CCL final. Damn it.
I'm rooting for all the MLS teams, but admit some guilty pleasure in seeing Seattle lose, with a little extra zing, on PKs. So much for the easiest path to the finals. That probably belongs to NYCFC right now. If we can take advantage by beating an out-of-form Tigres team who has 7 points in 7 games and a -1 GD (though they finished second in the Apertura regular season table), our semifinal opponent will be Montreal or Olimpia.
Now look at the other side of the bracket with 4 monsters and realize NYCFC cannot play any of them until the final, with 3 of them having been knocked out. The path forward is there if Ronnie and the boys can grab it. Or now watch Olimpia make a run to the finals.
Playing at home in the 2nd Leg for the Semifinals and Finals is based on performance in the preceding rounds. Here are the standings among the 8 quarterfinalists
Pts GD GF GA
Cruz Azul 6 5 6 1
NYCFC 6 3 6 3
Atlanta 4 3 4 1
Tigres 3 1 5 4
LAFC 3 1 3 2
Olimpia 2 0 4 4
Montreal 2 0 2 2
America 2 0 2 2
IfWhen we advance to the semis we are guaranteed to host the 2nd leg if we win either home or away against Tigres. Same result if Montreal and Olimpia tie in either leg.
I get that playing in a baseball stadium presents plenty of challenges that they don’t face at home, but I have a lot less patience for those teams that football stadium.fuck seattle and their constant bitching about YS.
EDIT: also fuck atlanta for same reason
