Of the 17 MLS Regular Season matches in 2021, how many will be played at Yankee Stadium?

i read that bullet point to mean you need full vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to the day of the game.

full vaccination for pfizer and moderna means 2 doses and for j&j means 1 dose.

pfizer and moderna say you get the full vaccine efficacy 2 weeks after the second dose. I'm assuming J&J is at least that as well.

So, you need to be fully vaccinated and have waited the 2 weeks for full efficacy before going to a game OR neg test.

But also Pfizer (I’m sure) and I think Moderna are 90% effective by the time you get the second dose, which is better than J&J after two weeks, so it’s not unthinkable that the rule would be P or M 2 shots, or JJ plus 2 weeks.

For the Pfizer trial, their main efficacy rate was determined based on any cases 1 week after second dose. Moderna and J&J did two weeks. As a result, the CDC in their recent guidance has defined fully vaccinated people to be two weeks removed from final dose, probably for uniformity.

sure. you have a certain level of efficacy after the 2nd dose of pfizer and moderna. hell, you have a pretty high level of immunity even after their first doses.

i'm just saying this 2 week thing is based on published information from these companies/cdc that say you will reach the full efficacy promised (i.e., 95%) at 2 weeks after the 2nd dose. This was what they told everyone when they started shipping vaccines. This may be different and changing based on more recent tests and studies, but for these rules, I'm confident that's where the 2 week thing comes from.

I really don't think the city/state is trying to make fans/supporters think for themselves to read between the lines. Could it have been worded more clearly? sure. But I don't think most people are analyzing it like that. a simple comma after "johnson vaccine" would make it clearer.

I get you're both just trying to explain what you believe the official rationale is, but it's stupid and unscientific.

Three weeks after the first shot Pfizer has 90% efficacy.

Two weeks after its single shot, J&J has just 66% efficacy.

If 66% is enough, then Pfizer vaccine recipients should be able to bypass testing 3 weeks after the first shot.
If 90% is not enough,the Johnson & Johnson recipients should not be able to bypass testing at all.

This is why people don't listen to the health policy experts. For all their claims about following the science and evidence, they just do whatever the fuck they want.

also understand what you're trying to say, and I agree. many of our restrictions aren't really based on the data or science. but when giving out these types of information and trying to form a policy, it's sometimes best to just keep it as simple as possible.

I think that's exactly what it is -- if you gave different rules for different vaccines, it would just confuse the hell out of people and it would be hell to manage for these arenas and stadiums. Just best to have one set policy.

I think there is a huge amount of misunderstanding everywhere about what those efficacy rates mean. Here's a great explainer:

Also, CDC reporting out today that asymptomatic transmission by vaccinated people is "extremely" unlikely.

I can see finishing any where from 3 through 10, with 4-7 being the main zone. More so than usual, picking this team this year right now is an exercise is guesswork:
  • can we muddle through the Spring without injuries and at least a mediocre record?
  • when/if does Taty leave?
  • who joins in June/July?

i think atlanta will be one then after that i can see NE due to arena making them more competive. toronto is too high, that team is being revamped. orlando can potentially be in the top too since majority of their squad is the same. philly also lost alot so i dont have them too high although they apparently got good amount of top talent prospects.

i always thought columbus as being solid to good. they are not flashy but get the job done. so its probably up there.

edit: the east is not really "stacked" that you can tell there are 4/5 teams and then there is the rest. i see atlanta as being far ahead but thats it.

Heinze. im not saying hes tata martino but i think the dude is poised to do well to maybe get a bigger job in europe. plus it seems like atlanta got him every player he wanted and the squad will probably respond well to him. josef is back too although it may take him some time to get to his prime form ( although im sure some calls will favor him too for his penalties lol)
