Wasn’t a star for us but a fitting end for an otherwise illustrious career. I’m glad I got to see him before he retired.
I must admit that being there for the one free kick that he actually did score was quite a thrill.
That first game against Orlando...
That was the highlight for me. He had scattered moments after that, occasionally sublime, but never again took over a game they way he did in his first appearance.
Obvious why there are no NYC players lined up. He played about 30 testimonials with those guys.
Nobody does the headfake shimmie to lose a defender like Pirlo - could see it in slow motion and still get faked out. If only he could have gotten used to the weight of the MLS ball, guess three years still wasn’t enough time to experiment.....

I got a good laugh out of this. The guy doesn’t play for a year and scores that yet couldn’t after countless tries with us.

Dude got maybe 3 on frame out of about 300. Steps up to that one and buries. Unbelievable.
