We won't get any love from the league office until we have a soccer specific stadium built that we're playing in.

This should have 100% been a suspension (match was in 2016). Fuck the league office. I'm getting so pissed at them more and more everyday that it's going to boil over.

Looking at this photo reminds me how little I remember our previous players. Is that Bravo?
While going through the former players just now I had to double-take on half the names like "oh, oh riiiight this guy played for us..."

Toronto FC v New York City
BMO Field (4PM ET)
REF: Chico Grajeda
AR1: Jeffrey Greeson
AR2: Adam Garner
4TH: Drew Fischer
VAR: Geoff Gamble

Hilario "Chico" Grajeda refereed our 3-0 win vs. Orlando. 1 penalty for Orlando (I didn't need to go to video review; Kljestan miss the PK). 3 YC (1-NYCFC; 2-ORL). 0 RC.

That wasn't even the worst thing Sam did in that game. Ref was horrible.

Toronto are currently returning from Vancouver where they played the first leg of their Canadian Championship series against Vancouver. Toronto put out more or less their usual starting lineup (less the injured Giovinco). Only exception was rotating defenders Morrow and Mavinga each for a half (Mavinga is ineligible for our game due to a red card vs. Atlanta).

So, most of Toronto's team went 90, including Bradley, Altidore, Osorio, Zavaleta, Delgado, etc.

Game was interesting. Despite being down to 10 men for the second half (Felipe Red Card), Vancouver got the better of play and only a late stoppage time own goal allowed Toronto to equalize at 2-2.

Second leg is Wednesday of next week, so we get Toronto tired, traveled and in the middle of the big contest that can carry them back into CCL.

I'm quite certain at this point they're barely thinking about the MLS game, as their chances of getting into CCL through it have greatly diminished compared to that game on Wednesday. Hoping for the best!

Also, it will be interesting to see who Toronto play with Mavinga ineligible.

In last night's game, with usual starters Mavinga and Morrow rotating, the back three also included Zavaleta and Haggelund. Jason Hernandez also got a run out for the last 20 minutes.

I would guess they go with Morrow, Zavaleta and Haggelund again, but if they want to rest some of those guys, Hernandez could get a start.

Well, technically, their chances of CCL qualification through the MLS Cup were always zero, but I agree with your general point. Their best chance to get silverware this year is to beat Vancouver at home on Wednesday.

oh, right. Completely forgot that!

Given he is ineligible for the weekend, I'm surprised they rotated Mavinga with anybody. Why not play him the full game and rest someone for the weekend, then play Mavinga again for the Cup's second leg?

Auro also came out injured during the game. And is Giovinco injured? I thought they were just resting him for this weekend

So, these had me wondering. Apparently, Mavinga picked up a knock. Doesn't matter either way for us, except Morrow had to run for a half when they wanted to rest him - and perhaps Morrow will need to go 90 on Wednesday too, so they may not want him going full time on Saturday.

Auro also picked up a knock. No updates on either player.

I thought I had read that Giovinco was hurt, but looking at news reports, the official line is that he was tired from his week in Atlanta (all-star game and away at United).

Seeing also that they may finally have Drew Moor available in defense - he hasn't played since April 14.

My biggest question is whether Toronto rests players since the Canadian Championship final is Wednesday and yes, that gets them back to the CCL next year so should be more important than any regular season game.

However, we saw how great NYCFC was against Vancouver who rested everybody

honestly I think complacency was the issue in that Vancouver game.
Just now MLS put out an article about Torrent wary of Toronto rise. Will that mean anything positive? idk... I just think we'll be more prepared, that's all.

The good news is, the result of the first leg means it's still up for grabs and TFC wasn't blown out, or blew out Vancouver. Ideally, I think a 1-0 or 2-1 result in Vancouver's favor would have meant that TFC was close, but needed to gun for it on Wednesday.

If they are prioritizing it, and Gio was tired or had a minor knock, it's possible he doesn't play the whole game.

Torrent wasn’t as willing to put a numerical value next to Villa’s availability for Sunday. However, he’s trained fully since and it’s safe to assume he’ll be a candidate for the starting XI.

This seems weird right? Can’t imagine Villa starting considering he hasn’t played in 7 weeks
The game Lampard came back, was he XI, or bench? I can't seem to recall. (And granted that was a longer period of time, too..)
