We are toothless aside from Alonso.

Wolf was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet twice today.

Fernandez's pass to Alonso when Alonso failed to round SJ was a thing of beauty.

defensively, i think we could be better too. I just don't have any trust in Martins. Haak is proving to be a decent CB, but he's no where near top MLS CB yet and it will take time for him to get there. As a pair, they are ok but not what we need to be a cup winning team. I think our right side is pretty solid as both ilenic and gray are solid options. left side is not as good but not terrible either.

If shore were about 20lbs bulkier, i'd be a great destroyer. haha. we need that physicality in the midfield to protect the backline.

Martins is having a rough season. Missing preseason really does have impacts on players, no matter how veteran they are. Hopefully he can recover at some point because he's really struggling.

i am also disliking his attitude and demeanor. so that probably affects my feelings towards him. i don't think he deserves to be captain.

Every time Martins makes a mistake that leads to a goal.

I think Martins has always had a bad attitude. I sit behind the goal at Yankee Stadium and get to watch his interactions. He is constantly yelling, treats down everyone else rather than building them up, and his body language is atrocious. His high motor makes him seem better than he is.
