F*ck this. Also noteworthy about that Hoffenheim vs Leipzig game is that Hoffenheim is hated almost as much as Leipzig by the German fans because Hoffenheim was a tiny club that was bought by a billionaire and advanced rapidly from the 5th tier to the 1st. Hoffenheim itself is a tiny of village /suburb of only about 3,000 people. The team plays in 30,000 seat stadium in an urban area of only 36,000. The Germans don't like this because they feel a team should succeed only on the back of it's fans. To me this attitude seems to defeat the purpose of promotion and relegation but what do I know.
1 - they're not breaking any rules or even skating close.
2 - they are rising through the strength of local fans since one of them is directy responsible for everything the club has done.
3 - nobody complains about all the money BM makes from selling jerseys overseas
I might have to buy a Hoffenheim jersey now.
