Sounders raise, donate over $1m for small businesses impacted by COVID-19

Some damn good stuff from the Sounders.

Barstool Sports just created a fund for small businesses trying to stay alive, and every business helped must be keeping its payroll up. It just started a few days ago. When I saw it it made me wonder if any sports teams did anything similar, because it seems like such a natural fit. So many small restaurants are places where people watch games or get pizza, etc for home watch parties. Glad to find out that someone in MLS had a similar idea.

IT's for reasons like these that, while I hate seeing Seattle win or be in the MLS Cup so often, I can't fault their organization. Great FO and great outreach.

NYCFC now has a small business thingy. It's for just one lucky winner, but it's something (and of course NYCFC has other community programs).
