yes there quite a few cases where they quit. the difference is that the team is getting bad results and the FO has not taken action yet. there are two tournaments in a year so that is why there is more turnover.
While there have been cases where they quit to go manage the mexican NT, most of the time they quit and then they hang around because they know another liga mx team can call them up at the start of a new tournament, or even to try and save someone else's mess. so a its a manager recycling league. its getting better but there are still cases of this.

Ugh, such a cluster-Fck of an organization.I wasn't looking for a perfect analogue -- just 2 coaches quitting in consecutive years, so Adam is correct. But Adam's post pushed me to look that incident up and it's even better/worse. After Belichick quit after 1 day, Parcells -- who stayed on as GM -- hired All Groh, who then quit 1 year later. So the Jets had 3 coaches quit in 2 consecutive years, and as usual, the Jets win the organizational clown show sweepstakes!

You want to treat people the right way, otherwise no one will want to work for you. If Dome wanted out, it's best to give him as cushioned a fall as possible. Other coaches/players notice that sort of thing.
I’m a huge proponent of treating employees well. I’m also a huge proponent that corporations don’t pick/choose when to enforce rules. Not trying to make this a Mix debate, but CFG is unwavering with how they treat players who step over the line, but has now let a contracted manager go after being disparaged to the press. If Dome wasnt happy with CFG, quit and then air grievances, but he didn’t. That’s not deserving of a dissolved contract.
Coaches leave teams in college football all the time, either by being fired for cause, or via a buy-out, or retirement. Buy-outs happen all the time in college football and no coach ever is crying that the university isn’t being nice to them if they enforce the terms of the contract - you wanna leave early, pay the buyout either via your new employer or out of your pocket. But if the coach disparages the university publicly, they’re gonna get fired, and that won’t be a black mark on the university that will give future coaches pause - everybody knows you don’t air dirty laundry in public.

Coaches say negative things about their organizations all the time. I distinctly remember John Tortorella taking a shiv to the Rangers early in his tenure. He wasn't fired. The team respected the coach enough to hear him out and make changes.
Dome's main issues weren't with the team, they were with the league. What he said was not a fireable offense. He wanted to leave, and they decided to make it mutual consent, since the team doesn't want a coach who doesn't want to be there anymore. Either you're all-in or all-out.

The hiring needs to happen prior to the expansion drafts. I’d expect the new coach would want to be involved in any process that involves players potentially leaving. If we don’t have a coach by that time then CFG truly doesn’t give a shit about us and considers this league a joke.
I think a big name might not be so quick to leave for a bigger league or club -- most likely in Europe -- as he's presumably already proven himself at that level. Of course I say this with Tata being a perfect counter example to prove me wrong, but besides there always being exceptions, Tata also had accomplished what he came to Atlanta to do --probably much quicker than he dreamed. And Tata didn't go Europe, which is where most rising coaches like PV or Torrent are likely to move up to. Tata really was a special case.
Pretty rich, coming from a guy whose game analysis is generally limited to “He’s *got* to do better there, Joe!” But then, maybe Ian is just one of those “grit, not smarts” guys.

Dome definitely had issues with the team otherwise we never would have learned that Heber was #9 option and he arrived 50(?) days later than Dome was told.
While he may not have been all-in, Dome also wasn’t all-out with wanting to leave - his comments about his future were very amorphous.
As to the Rangers and JT - I don’t take anything MSG does as good business sense. That’s an owner that has a history of destroying their payrolls with salaries to players long-gone.
