I like the premises, but it's a bit too Robert Frost and I'm not sure you'll be able to win over the non-forum fans with a song that needs to paraphrased from old English.

We don't have a true rallying song yet when the team is in a funk. I hope this is the right place to post this so it gets a chance to be heard but I think we would have a ton of fun with this chant:

I asked this somewhere else and didn't get an answer, but what are the lyrics to this one? The line in the middle sounds like "Five boroughs one city and we are cuddly"
I'm hearing "we are cruddy" or "we are crabby".

Yes, it is "and we are proudly." It really is just a beat though, and then "NYCFC." When I sing it I think it flows pretty well.

Chants take time to build up and if possible it's best to create your own instead of copying others no matter where they come from because they will always come back to bite you, being a football fan is a bit like being in the school yard lol when things get heated with opposing fans.
If I could suggest one myself, I think Blondies 'Union City Blues' could be a handwritten for NYCFC, just change ' Union' to 'New York' and we could be onto a winner.

I like the beat and melody and think this one has a ton of potential. Maybe a lyric re-write, or possibly multiple verses?

Yeah, this is a chant regularly used by The Third Rail. Would be cool to have a youngster lead it though!
