Home - 05/03 Seattle

I am just going to go out on a wild guess and say Villa will be back. He's been game-to-game, and we are finally out of that logjam of 4 games in 14 days. He and the rest of the team are going to have 8 full days off before Sunday's contest.

Let's hope I am right and that the rest will help restore some depth across the back.

Villa didn't even train with the team last week. I'm not expecting him to start this game.

Im going to buck the trend and be optimistic about this match. We are back home with a long week between matches, we will get Villa out there at some point and can avoid some major mistakes to take a 3-1 victory!
We need to be active during the summer because we have wholes that Lampard will do nothing to fill, but I do believe this club has the parts to win on any given day.

Our best hope is that Seattle overlooks this game

Yeah, that is probably our best hope, but it's still very unlikely. Teams that win the Supporters Shield rarely overlook games. Sometimes, but rarely.

Last season, I really enjoyed the Revs 5-0 drubbing of Seattle in May. Hopefully we can make it a Seattle tradition!

Mullins started and scored in that match as well.

With Villa being out so much I can imagine Ned Grabavoy just walking into the locker room like this:

Villa is still on the team? I figured he decided to quit the MLS after our string of losses. Lol jk

In all seriousness, we need to get the team healthy again. I don't think we can afford another game with our scrubs in the starting lineup. Especially if we want to win another game in the foreseeable future.

Just saw the updated injury report on Twitter:

Out:
John
Taylor
Hernandez
Williams
Villa
Nemec
Calle

At least Dunny looked decent at RB

Lineup?

--------Saunders---
-----KWS----Wingert----
Dunn---------------Brovsky---
--------Mix--Poku--------
Ballouchy-----------Grabavoy--
-----Shelton-----Mullins-----

If all of those guys are really going to miss this match then I don't expect much of a result. I do expect 100% effort though. If the guys who are healthy and are called to play against the Sounders give everything for the badge then they deserve our unwavering support. It'll be great to finally have a NYC club to compete on the same field with a first class club like Seattle Sounders. Any goals and/or points from this match will just be icing on the cake.

Just as a FYI:
MLS is being its usual cryptic self (part of it might be NYCFC's reporting) but only John and Taylor are confirmed to be out.

Some of these guys might play, all of them might not. Until we get reports as to who's training it's not 100% sure.
