Jon Patricof Named New President Of New York City FC

I haven't heard this. What's so bad about it? I don't eat in there that much. I generally eat a hot dog or two at The Dugout so if the food is worse than that then I will say a prayer for you all.

Mark laid it out nicely, but I can elaborate. The food is basically the level of really bad fast food, and there aren't really any options beyond that. Example: my son orders a hamburger. It comes as a tiny, charred disk on a stale bun. Everything about it is dry as if it had sat in the desert sun for a week. It cost $9. My son will eat hamburgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he ate about one-third and put it away. That's one example of many to provide context. Note that there aren't any real options besides stuff like that except for a couple of places that are a small increment better, are difficult to find and have long lines.

I get that I am going to overpay for food in a captive environment - that's just how it works. But, for god's sake at least give me something that is good quality. Yankee Stadium food is not even the quality of McDonald's. Meanwhile, you can go to CitiField and eat at Shake Shack. I've been to other stadiums, and Yankee Stadium is hands down the worst, and it really should be the best.

And can we please get some other draft options aside from Coors/Bud and Shock Top. For $10-15 a beer, at least provide options that cover a range of varietals and brands.

I pretty much agree with all of this. Citi Field has piles of places you can go to get actual food, not just crappy ballpark burgers and dogs. There's some good places at Yankee Stadium but they are few and far between. Sort of the best one is the grill in the passageway just before you get to section 223. Nothing special about it but they have really good burgers that are actually really burgers. I think their main thing is sausage though. Not 100% sure. Another is the grilled cheese stand behind section 226 (approx). They're kind of way too cheesy (and expensive) but at least they're food. Lastly was Carl's (RIP). I'm sure there are a few other independent places in the stadium that are decent but the regular burgers and hot dog stands are just terrible.

And Nathan's fries are always good, of course, so at least there's that.

The Beers of the World stations seem to have pretty good stuff to me, but lines can be long.

I agree that the ubiquity of their sponsored (and crappy) beers is really annoying. If I want to get a hot dog and a beer, I have a choice of getting crappy beer or standing in two lines. Why?

Hope your schedule works out. It's a nice suite of offices. For those never there they have the whole floor. I didn't go down the one hallway that had some private offices but did see the rest. The meet was in a large conference room with great views. Most of the staff works in a single large bullpen room clustered by department. The photos pretty much show the entire reception area.
Yeah it's really dope. Down the hallway also is the like the kitchen area idk if you saw that or not.

Yes. Went down that hallway to get coffee. The hallway to the right of the receptionist desk is the one I didn't go down. I figure Patricof, Reyna and a few others have offices down there.

Thought you meant that hallway, I didn't go to the right of the reception area just to one of the board rooms that's closer to the bullpen area. They were having meetings to the right of the reception area and it looked serious (hopefully about a stadium) so I didn't even bother. Everyone there is pretty nice though. I'm glad you got to visit it. Hopefully it's the first of many visits with Jon for you.

As someone who regularly ate cheeseburgers for both lunch and dinner my freshman year . . . I feel I can relate. Regular YS cheeseburgers are indeed awful. You're much better off with a hotdog, which, while overpriced, is at least no better or worse than any other hot dog.

But, as of this year, Lobel's has burgers, and they are decent. Not as good as their Steak Sandwich, and certainly not as good as Shake Shack, but decent.

Speaking of Franks, he says it's a damn travesty they stilll don't have the cookie burger available.
