M L S Playoff Thread

Agreed, Seattle and LA are the class of the MLS right now, I think whoever wins the West out of those two wins the playoffs.
Seattle and LA have been a bit questionable lately. No club is playing at New England's level right now.

I know Lee Nguyen has been on a tear and ever since Jermaine Jones joined that team they have been fantastic... I can't say I have seen enough Revolution games to really comment on them, so you guys may be right, I did see them take care of Columbus last night, and they did look impressive so i'll take your word for it.

0-0 at the half.

Thought Seattle had slightly better of the play. Two good saves by Seitz and Michel clearing one off the line kept the Sounders off the scoreboard. Dallas a several good chances too, but man they have to show better skill with their shots.

Wow there have been a lot of possible penalty kicks that probably should have been taken but the ref hasn't called one yet.

I looked at the ticketmaster page this morning and it was very close to sold out minus a few singles spread out. It did not have the upper levels open so I believe the capacity will be in the 37-42k range. I'll guess 38,500
Ended up being 38,912
I think I can officially consider myself a loser when I am able to closely predict MLS attendance.

Didn't mind SEA attacking late in the game. Especially with the way Dallas was throwing bodies forward. They had to look for the counter attack.

I still don't understand Sigi Schmidt. Yedlin was allowed to get down the right flank ONCE all game. He put in a beautiful cross. I can't help but thing the English game will suit him better. They have two great finishers in Dempsey and Martins. I just don't understand it. It's frustrating.

Did like the young Dallas squad though. They bring Texeira and Zimmerman off the bench - two super talented 22 year olds. Kellyn Acosta didn't even make the line-up. Lots of talent there. I don't know who will be unprotected because they have the most homegrowns in the league, but there is a ton of young talent on that squad. Unless you can go the route of LA, that's how you build a squad. Fantastic young squad.

Well I believe these semi-finals bode very well for MLS. In the West you have the two best teams fighting it out and in the East you've got two of the hottest teams on a roll going toe to toe.

First leg has New England at Red Bulls on 11/23 (1:30, NBC) and Seattle at LA later on in the afternoon (5:00, ESPN). As a Giants fan (yeah, I know) this please me, because they don't play until 8:30 that night.

Looks like we had some representation at the game last night............

I grabbed this picture off Twitter. It was posted by the West Belmar Posse. Do we know who these guys are?
