M L S Playoff Thread

I think they have it in them to beat DC again. NE will be the challenge. If I were to choose between the two I'd say New England will advance all the way. They've shown amazing progress this season and the addition of Jermaine Jones was just the icing on the cake.
I think the Revs were a very good team all season long, but Jay Heaps mismanaged the team at times. The losing streak was the perfect example, the lineup choices did not make much sense to most observers. Throw in inconsistent performances from some players and a couple of injuries and it explains why they have not dominated until JJ was added.

Anybody know offhand what the capacity is at that Dallas stadium? I don't think they have a total sell out (looks close), but they sure have a helluva lot more people in the stands tonight as compared to the Vancouver match. Good for them.

Toyota Stadium has a 20,500 seat capacity according to Wikipedia.

Well Vancouver was on 2 or 3 days notice, with no season ticketholders, on a weekday night.

The weekend makes a difference.

I'm late, but I'd say that Junior was the cake under the icing. They lacked a spine before him.

1-0 at the end of the first 45 minutes. DCU came alive after that goal and had the Red Bulls on the ropes before the whistle ended things. Going to be a helluva second half.

The building is packed and it looks like a sell out.

Red Bulls come out storming to start the 2nd half. It pays off when Luyindula buries a cross from Henry in the 57' minute!

DC now needs 3 goals to advance if RBNY doesn't score again

Roy Miller is sent off. DC needs 3 goals in 10 minutes

DC get a goal in the 90'. Still need 2 in the 5 minutes of stoppage

Red Bulls get the job done and move into the Conference Finals. Don't think I'm going too far out on a limb when I say it looks like they'll be taking on New England.

Damn, I wish there was a second match on today rather than tomorrow.
