It does seem the dad favors Argentina. It's also true that he was fairly wasted in that U-16 tournament. Hopefully, a decision won't hinge on a single 10-day event that wasn't even a major tournament.

Seems to have gone under the radar that Carrizo signed with David Villa's management firm.
Maximo was also captain of the team.
Apparently didn't use that authority to order the kids to stop scoring once it was 6-0.

Why stop scoring? playing keep away would be more of an insult than running up the score.

nah but i've played in it and i sure as hell would be more pissed if a team was just passing around me.
besides, this is the U-17 international level in a cup competition, not a friendly... not local U-10s.
would feel pretty silly if it somehow came down to goal difference and you didn't advance cause you decided to stop scoring.

Hard to see it on a zoomed out camera angle, but I just really hope that's not his Achilles. Don't like the way he reacted at all.
That's fantastic news. I hope he starts at CAM so Maxi can get some rest and we can see what Carrizo can do.
Or hopefully he is not like OBJ, and doesn't like to drink water so often cramped.
