I suggest one thread for the whole 3 game series, as I'm sure there will be lots of redundant and overlapping conversations throughout the week.

We advanced last year when it was three separate threads. I will take it under consideration but will likely keep as two (or three).

Carolina Panthers are home on Sunday, October 26 so no way we play this game on a weekend. They’re also home on Sunday, November 9 for the game three. So this series will be on weekdays or some weird Tuesday, Saturday, Wednesday thing…

They should be forced to play somewhere else, like we are. Is Atlanta's stadium available?

In all seriousness, I wonder how many days they need to turn the field around. Maybe they can play on the Monday each week? We'll have football lines on the field, but at least if it's Mondays it would be doable to have a regular weekend game for our home game. I imagine they wouldn't play it the day before the NFL game, but who knows.

zaha will be suspended for game 1 so one less diving attacker to worry about.

Looked like he punched the guy to get the red card -- wouldn't really surprise me if he gets more than one game for that.

On a different topic, the PA announcer said after the game we would learn the Round 1 schedule tomorrow night.

I think Zaha will get the special DP benefit and only have one game suspension so as not to "ruin the playoff matchup" or some other nonsense reason. I didn' tsee the replay but if he truly just wound up and punched someone then he deserves to additional games for sure. I just don't think he'll get it.

Just went and watched the replays. (A) It was open handed. (B) Kinda looks like he missed; like he was going for the side of the head and the guy moved forward; so his hand maybe grazes (or maybe doesn't) the back of the guys head. (C) A really kind interpretation would be that it looks like he was trying to shove the guy and accidentally got his hand above the guy's shoulder.

I can easily see it staying a 1 game suspension.

The Zaha red was from a second yellow. To give him 2 games would require first upgrading it to a regular red. They're not doing that.

It was not a punch. FootyLovin covered it exactly. Open handed and he missed. Only thing I dissent from is there's no real way to interpret it as an attempted shove, even if I try to be as charitable as possible. It was one of those intentional open hand almost punches that players make when they have enough sense to not make a fist but not enough to avoid trying to hit someone in the head. Honestly, the open handed pseudo-punch is so universally prevalent I would be inclined to treat it as evidence of purposeful assault. That's not going to happen, however, and certainly not at this moment.
