just so angry and upset at how we approached the game and then how we set up the initial 5 pk takers. i don't care if it was volunteer and julian wanted to go. he had maybe 10 minutes under his belt and not many touches. he has no business taking a PK.
this game was ours to take when the game state changed after the attacking subs. nico should have stayed on and i don't understand why he came off for julian. only reason I can think of is because jansen rates Julian higher for PKs.
very frustrating game to lose and we didn't even play well. PK's are such a tossup and when your keeper gives you a save, you NEED to take advantage.

We didn't have the final pass today. Should have done better. That's what lost the match.
Penalties are a crapshoot. Freese didn't have much luck out there.

Freese did his job. The shooters (especially one) didn’t do it. CLT did not have a save in the first five shots and they won.
Yeah, not saying he didn't do his job. You gotta have some luck out there. After the first two, Charlotte was firing bangers out there.
Playing against inferior competition
They actually scored goals which if NYCFC could do so NYCFC would be in the next round
Yes you typically win games when you score more points than the other team.
I looked at the lineup tonight (KOT again as a winger) and 2 dmids thinking “wow Pascal is really daring Charlotte to score if not willing to go to penalties.”
Well he got that but also didn’t realize that he could lose penalties.
Now have to go back on the road and win again. Sigh.

This is what is maddening. Philly is .500 against playoff teams. Would have been ripe for an upset,
We have 2 players who can score and one of them played 23 minutes? Nick Cushing Pascal masterclass. Pathetic cowardly showing by coach and team for the first 70 minutes. You're at home with a chance to clinch. Fucking take it to them.

It felt a lot colder than 57º.
I did have to pay to park and for food but my downgraded seat for this game has a better view than my regular Legends seat.
Maxi is too old. Let him go live on a nice farm in the country with a family who loves him next year. He should not have played more than 1200 minutes this year. He runs around a lot and it kind of looks nice but unlike the past it almost never leads to anything.
I'm glad I at least didn't pay for that.
