I noticed that too. Is calling for offside so reflexive you do it on every opposing goal no matter how preposterous?
And oddly the game we won was the one where we played the worst.
He always does that, raising his arm for offside.
Not match fit. Started, played well enough for 20-25 minutes, then faded. Subbed off at half time. Andrade was a revelation. Ignore the goal, he was active and very direct on attack. TBH I didn't pay much attention to his defensive work rate.

Left wing. However, we were more defensive in the 1st half so he wasn't that far up the field in terms of a heat map.

despite this loss and dominating games while still losing, i am optimistic.
Thiago had a fantastic debut and he's only going to get better as he gets used to the team, system, and league. You could tell he was a huge headache for the rev defense last night. Talles will improve as he gets more fit and used to the league/team. And Santi seems like he's going to fit in really well. Even in a short debut, his effort to get on the end of a corner is a nice highlight. Maxi is also getting back into match fitness and yesterday was probably his best game this year. Hope he continues to step it up.
On the attack, I am very optimistic. Our defense has been pretty consistent but we lost focus last night way too often. Hopefully it was a one game thing and we'll return to our usual stingy self. that includes johnson who just hasn't been himself this season.
Anyway, season is still young. Looking forward to seeing how the team improves.

I think 10k will be a stretch, but that's just my gut. I think those attendance figures were always inflated by "own season tickets but didn't attend".
NYCFC have won just once in five and this loss, as in their home loss a month ago vs. Columbus, is particularly painful for how it happened.
As good as the Revs were, NYCFC were clearly better for most of the game. They dominated the first 10 minutes and earned a PK. Turner saved it. Ten minutes later Taty Castellanos got in on Turner 1v1. Turner saved it. They had a late chance to equalize on a breakaway, and Turner saved it then saved the rebound. Maxi Moralez had an open look from eight yards for yet another equalizer in second-half stoppage. Turner. Saved. It.
It is hard to win when an opposing star goes supernova against you, as has now happened twice in NYCFC's past three games. More to the point, though: between the saved penalty and the opposing star stealing the show, this felt a lot like how NYCFC always go out in the playoffs. The whole thing was eerily reminiscent of a lot of miserable November nights this club have had over the past half-decade.
Still, NYCFC are playing really good soccer — belied by their current place in the standings — and we saw some of that talent infusion as Thiago Andrade got on the board. If they keep playing like this they'll be fine.
