Nashville smacked Orlando 5-0, just like us. So even if we win, we need to win by +3 to keep being number 1 in the Eastern Conference.

falcon is out injured still and no de paul in the midfield. so our chances to score go up a wee bit. but will we be able to keep miami out of our goal. that's the question.

What up bitches?

It's "remember when Jordan came to the Garden and Spike Lee said what you want is for him to drop a double nickel and the Knicks still win and now it's you want the GOAT to throw in a hat trick of golazos and NYCFC to put in 5" game day.

Let's gooooooooo!!!

Wack ass ref. Looked like a red on St. Clair, blew immediately at six minutes even though there were several stoppages in extra time, blew some soft fouls on us.

We played decently. We still need a striker.

Crazy.

We had two beautiful goals, probably should have had a pen (there were no additional replays of the incident on AppleTV with close ups and additional angles), and St. Clair probably should have gotten a red card.

I thought we played better after the first 10 mins or so. We were definitely a bit asleep, I think. We woke up a bit and looked better. Nico was very good as usual. Ojeda had a decent game with a great run and finish for his second goal on the year.

I think St. Clair prob didn't get a red because it was questionable whether the ball was completely outside the box. Just like with any situation for out of bounds or goals, the ball must be completely out side the box. HE was definitely outside the box, but considering the flight of the ball and where he actually put hands on it, it was questionable whether it was completely outside and with the lack of camera angles at YS, we have to rely on the linesman. It is what it is.

I think wolf, or ANYBODY should NOT be in the wall if you are going to flinch away or turn your body when the ball is kicked. Man the fuck up! Hard to tell on the streaming angles, but I wonder if the ball would have cleared the wall to hit nico if he had not turned his body.

I think we could have defended better today. As soon as our line of confrontation was breached, miami seemed to have little resistance getting into our end and having a chance or two. Of course, it's usually messi leading that transition, so take that as you will.

Overall, I thought we did ok. I don't think we played up to our level by any means. If our perfect game is a 10, I think we put forth a 6.5 maybe 7 performance today.

I’m super salty right now. Trying to cool my jets at Stan’s while I wait for the plastic hordes to disperse. I thought the boys deserved a point, between the St. Clair amnesty, the bullshit card that Messi shithoused off of Maxi before the FK, the suspiciously prompt enforcement of 96’ and the fact that the last goal looked off from my seat on the 6 and wasn’t even reviewed.

Really the only beef I have with our boys today is WTF was that wall on the FK. That’s on Pascal. Just weird.

On the plus side we proved that we could ball with the best. We haven’t just been feasting on weak competition. This was a slug fest. All 5 of our southern hemisphere starters showed up today in a big way. And Nico in particular is a treasure. Raise your hand if you had ever heard of him before we signed him.
