so what you're saying is you agree that he had a chance of scoring and should have made it count.
time will tell if being the best U20 player in brazil translate into MLS success. but so far he has failed to truly impress. could be that cinci sucks or he could be a pity martinez type signing.
i mean, acevedo was one of the top young talents in uruguay when we signed him. would you consider that a bad signing?
pretty sure we signed him thinking Sands would be going to Europe sooner rather than later but his injuries delayed that. If he has a good season this year, I would think Sands would be gone next year and then acevedo would be a decent replacement.
we have Haak and brought in Morales. Cacha played more last night than he did combined last year?
Why sign Haak? No evidence that Cacha is better than Haak.
morales is the Sands replacement. How can you sell Haak if you don’t play him. Hartford loved him. He would start for them right now.
Do you think he is shooting too much, or simply not getting the space he was getting before? He went from having one, maybe two players taking defensive attention away from him to being the primary focus of defenses.
I don’t know, and I’m willing to give everyone at least something of a pass for what happened in 2020 given how unusual it all was. In a small sample so far this year he is back on track.
I'm hoping to ask Ronny if there's any plan to loan Haak out considering the current logjam at that spot. Have just had other items I've wanted to ask him more pertinent to the upcoming matches and usually only get 1 question each press conference.
Haven't rewatched last night's game yet, but he's been great at finding and creating space. I clipped some of my favorite moments from Taty's performance against Philly and watching his movement and defensive work rate was awesome. My favorite part of this video was the drop back and then run in behind in the 74'.

NYCFC came out in a 3-1-4-2 for the second straight week, and given that they got a point on the road against a good team, and without Maxi Moralez (usually a death sentence for them), I don’t think that look is going away any time soon. They are atop the East and deserve to be there for now.

Week 4 is the end of the beginning of the season. It’s still small sample size theater, but we do, at this point, have a pretty good grasp on who was ready, who wasn’t, who’s been capable of making adjustments and who’s out there just flailing away. In we go:

According to FBRef, which I believe uses data from Statsbomb, the xG broke down as 1.6 xG for us and only 0.6 for Orlando.
I don't know if they're reporting non-penalty xG or incorporating the PK.

that someone won't be me. i'm honestly still on the #RonnyOut train. I will admit he's done some good things, but he hasn't exactly shown me that he's a tactical mastermind. I am happy to see that he's subbing earlier though, but they still seem like scheduled line changes. I'll get off the #ronnyOut train if we can at LEAST make it deep into the playoffs... i'll be his #1 fan if we win the cup.
