Was anyone else worried about Taty trying a Panenka (or Aguero) given his recent cheeky streak?
And that Jasson shot you said he needs to make in the chat yesterday had an xG of 4.41%.
but here’s the rub. That’s not our job. A competent front office finds that guy.
Cincy just signed the best U20 player in Brazil. Like. Come on.
time will tell if being the best U20 player in brazil translate into MLS success. but so far he has failed to truly impress. could be that cinci sucks or he could be a pity martinez type signing.
i mean, acevedo was one of the top young talents in uruguay when we signed him. would you consider that a bad signing?
yes. We didn’t need him. Waste of money
pretty sure we signed him thinking Sands would be going to Europe sooner rather than later but his injuries delayed that. If he has a good season this year, I would think Sands would be gone next year and then acevedo would be a decent replacement.
we have Haak and brought in Morales. Cacha played more last night than he did combined last year?
Why sign Haak? No evidence that Cacha is better than Haak.
we signed haak to make sure we could make money to sell him. the club is greedy. unfortunately he's not getting the minutes he deserves. signing morales doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Do you think he is shooting too much, or simply not getting the space he was getting before? He went from having one, maybe two players taking defensive attention away from him to being the primary focus of defenses. In his MLS career, Taty has 22 goals off of 24.75 xGoals. That's a little below average, but not poor. And 2020 is the entire reason it is below average. Exclude 2020 and he has 16 Goals off 15.23 xG in MLS. Now last year counts, but it was also the first time he had to play without a No. 9., and though it is clear he likes to shoot no matter what, I think when we lost both Heber and Mitrita, Taty took it upon himself to shoot even more, which forced some trade-off between quality and quantity.

I don’t know, and I’m willing to give everyone at least something of a pass for what happened in 2020 given how unusual it all was. In a small sample so far this year he is back on track.Do you think he is shooting too much, or simply not getting the space he was getting before? I'm hoping to ask Ronny if there's any plan to loan Haak out considering the current logjam at that spot. Have just had other items I've wanted to ask him more pertinent to the upcoming matches and usually only get 1 question each press conference.morales is the Sands replacement. How can you sell Haak if you don’t play him. Hartford loved him. He would start for them right now.
Or as mgarbowski coined, the rabenka. Was anyone else worried about Taty trying a Panenka (or Aguero) given his recent cheeky streak?
Haven't rewatched last night's game yet, but he's been great at finding and creating space. I clipped some of my favorite moments from Taty's performance against Philly and watching his movement and defensive work rate was awesome. My favorite part of this video was the drop back and then run in behind in the 74'.Do you think he is shooting too much, or simply not getting the space he was getting before? He also wrote 8 paragraphs about a team that has lost all 4 games and that makes perfect sense. Why do you think there should be any correlation between the standings and length written? We're top of the East and Doyle gives us two sentences...
NYCFC came out in a 3-1-4-2 for the second straight week, and given that they got a point on the road against a good team, and without Maxi Moralez (usually a death sentence for them), I don’t think that look is going away any time soon. They are atop the East and deserve to be there for now.
Josef back on the board, goals the Wondo way & more from Week 4 | MLSSoccer.com
Week 4 is the end of the beginning of the season. It’s still small sample size theater, but we do, at this point, have a pretty good grasp on who was ready, who wasn’t, who’s been capable of making adjustments and who’s out there just flailing away. In we go:www.mlssoccer.com
According to FBRef, which I believe uses data from Statsbomb, the xG broke down as 1.6 xG for us and only 0.6 for Orlando.I’d like to see the xG for this game because while NYCFC didn’t play an attractive game, it seemed that they had the better of the few chances.

Meanwhile the Saturday roundup has a nice blurb on us including some crow eating. Read it and enjoy, instead of looking for reasons to be offended.

Well I need someone to change my opinion that Deila may be the right coach to win us an MLS Cup...
that someone won't be me. i'm honestly still on the #RonnyOut train. I will admit he's done some good things, but he hasn't exactly shown me that he's a tactical mastermind. I am happy to see that he's subbing earlier though, but they still seem like scheduled line changes. I'll get off the #ronnyOut train if we can at LEAST make it deep into the playoffs... i'll be his #1 fan if we win the cup.
