MLS - October 18 - Seattle (CF)

Don't get me wrong I'm elated over the Queens location for the stadium, but this ongoing bull shit with the #7 is a pain in the balls.

its not as frequent. it just the few times nycfc plays there they get bad luck that they get this bad service

I guess you would know better than I. It just seems it happens almost everytime they're at Citi Field.
I imagine the Mets have pull with the MTA to put off construction on weekends they have a home stand and the people who run the US Open probably also have a say. NYCFC? Not so much.

7 trains are not running between 34th St./Hudson Yards and 74th St-Broadway/Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Ave this coming weekend. E trains will be running more often to make up for this. Additionally, the LIRR is free to get to the Mets stop from Manhattan.

The Flushing bound 7 trains skip 82, 90, 103 and 111 as well.
you forgot one part

digital team doing such a great job as usual

They are so incredibly sloppy. Their PR shop is a mess, too. They never recovered after the turnover they had in 2020.

There's no author listed and 6 em dashes. Draw your own conclusions, but Aidan Morris on NYCFC is a hallucination.

I don't know about the PR, but IMO 2024 was the high point of the team's social media.

Unfortunately, I believe they did not build on the 2024 momentum and this year was a regression.

Wasn't even thinking it could be an AI hallucination until you mentioned it and it seems very obvious now. Didn't think they needed AI to do such simple and infrequent articles. But I suppose people will take any shortcut they can these days.

Honestly, email this to Brad Sims as an example about why not to implement AI. The digital team will likely thank you

i didn't even know we could email Brad Sims directly. If you have a contact, maybe you could screenshot and forward it to him? As of this post, it is still not corrected on the club website.

Not sure I'm emotionally ready to root against Seattle after cheering for the Ms all week

As Trey Fillmore referenced in his recent Outfield article, MLS is replacing writers with AI-generated content for match recaps and other stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if CFG were also dabbling...
