Seth you are a life saver. I would have showed up at 7:30 very upset. And finding the map of the changes for the weekend? *chef’s kiss*

Thank you for your service!

I guess I wasn’t the only one confused. I thought the match was 7:30 as well. Did it change recently?

Don't think it changed but it is <air quotes>Decision Day</air quotes>. All the eastern matches start at the same time irregardless of the time zone (western matches are at 9pm Eastern). It's not just youse, it's probably a lot of people across the country (and Canada) who have odd kickoff times today. Nashville: "Whaddya mean the match starts at 5pm?!?" LOL

seattle came organized and executed.

we didn't play with any attitude/swagger nor fire despite having more at stake.

oh well. win 5 games and we lift the cup. it's that simple. hope they are able to find their killer instinct and lock in for the playoffs.

I can’t recall if this happened in recent years but I remember it during the Villa and Ring captain years. Did Martins or anyone else get on the mic for the whole stadium at the end of the game?

19 to 6 fouls. Seattle were diving like salmons. That Maxi foul leading to the Seattle second goal was terrible.

No one got on the mic tonight and yes, that definitely happened in the Villa/Ring years. "I can't hear you, did you enjoy the show!" Then Sean announcing Taty's Golden Boot. It absolutely used to happen.

That jerseys off their backs ceremony wasn't great, too. Took forever to start -- by the time it started security was kicking fans out of the stands on the third base side of the field.

Seattle really was diving like crazy. Then they were time-wasting when leading late and he never did anything about it. He was incredibly one-sided, and I seem to remember other games of his like that too. Wasn't he the ref when we went down to 9 men against the Red Bulls?

The first goal, no?

My dad was at the game with me and he doesn’t know soccer that well and even he thought that was ridiculous. It was barely a shoulder barge

Yes, that one was not a foul. I also thought the corner they scored on went off the Seattle player last. They scored on two bad calls from Penso.

This part is fact. However, I think Seattle was better on the night and probably deserved the win.
Yep, sometimes you just don’t have it and need to grind out goals however you can.

I think Seattle had 2 opportunities the whole game and scored both. Organized team taking advantage of its chances - that’s what a good team does. Also worked the ref to get fouls.

At one point I looked at the stats 40 minutes into the first half and both teams had 3 total shots. That first half was unwatchable.

By my records we conceded 6 free kick or corner goals all year, and in each instance we conceded twice in one game. Game 1 in Miami, Game 22 in Orlando, and Game 34 last night.

At most we deserved a tie and Seattle's win was not unfair. Neither team created much.

Seattle did fall a lot.
You have to react to refs and fouls in soccer like pitchers and hitters adjust to a tight or loose strike zone. Seattle fell down a lot and Penso gave them fouls. If we don't stop giving them plausible excuses to fall and also don't start dropping ourselves that's just the game.

I agree with this in principle. But, it presumes that there is consistency in how the referee is officiating the game. I don’t think Penso was consistent in his approach at all.
