Look at what just started trending on twitter...
33333333-1 not two lol

Just getting home from the stadium. That was so much freakin fun. It was like Mardi Gras in my section for much of the game. Liking my post in the match day thread from this afternoon when I predicted Villa and Poku goals for the win. No one would believe me if I said I started writing that Mix would play in the second half and score a third but didn't want to push it (seriously). Playing the lottery later.

All I know is we better do everything we can to try and hang onto Facey, the guy is a completely different player at CB
I fully admit that I was wrong on Shay Facey at CB, He's showing far, far, far better than he was at the start of the year. Most improved player for me so far this year - if we can find a big CB to pair with him, that's a backline you can win some games with.

Midas is pleased. The apocalypse be upon us.

Anyway great fucking game of football tonight. We should of had a PK and could of easily had a few more goals (villa and mullins) We dominated for most of the game tho I was scared before the mix goal it would of been another late equaliser, but we hels our own.

Kreis finally maintained his sanity thru 90 minutes and had good subs. If hed continue this we will be set.

Pokus second assist and first goal. Crime not to start this boss.

This team has a bright outlook here on out.

Furthermore the greek diner I work at in Queens will forever know Pokus name as i screamed it out mid shift to a crowd of strange stares.

NYC NYC

question for those at the stadium. How wad the atmosphere?
Atmosphere tonight was absolutely electric near the close of the game.

Honestly our weakness in the back line is Wingert. He probably had one of his best games today and Jeb has been improving as the weeks go on.

On the train back to Connecticut so glad I made it out tonight. Most compete performance in our short existence so far. With the proper July reinforcements we might really be able to make it a memorable debut season after all .
Shoutout to the 9:44 New Haven train from Harlem 125. Connecticut!!

All of my thoughts condensed into one post...
NYCFC: First back to back wins, first time never being down during a match in a long time, things are moving in the right direction and the team seems to be clicking now.
Villa: Despite showing a lot of negative attitude during the game (he wanted the ball during Mix's goal), played all out and great. You can tell he really wanted a second goal and he had about two good, one great opportunity to do so. Great passing, great scoring tonight from the captain.
Mix: MIX! The Nordic Messi strikes again for NYCFC. Hustle from the moment he got into the match.
Poku: POKU! POKU! POKU! POKU! POKU! I'm in love with the Poku.
RJ Allen: Great defending, really played well along the lines tonight. An unexpected performance.
Facey: Another good performance, a few mistakes that could have been worse, but the best CB option we have and proving his worth to the team.
The entire team gave a good effort and played well. An overall positive performance as a whole.

MOTM: Poku and if you disagree with me I will fight you.

Postgame notes:
Villa: Actually signed and took photos with fans by the tunnel which he never has done during a home match previously. When he wins, he's happy, and he signs.
Mix: Tossed his jersey into the stands. Awesome (would have been more awesome if I would have gotten it).
Subway: A very drunk and loud 4 train broke out in Hey Baby and The Star Spangled Banner. NYC!
Scarf: We won both matches since I got my new NYCFC scarf from England. It's not a coincidence.

Onto beat the Cosmos. WIN THE CUP!

a few defensive errors but so many positives from this game.

I'd say this is the best villa has played all season
Poku and Nordic Messi were amazing subs

Only downside was the stadium Atmosphere, seemed really quiet most of the game, I think montreal's 10 supporters were louder at times.

Game was incredible got to go by the luck because a fan invited me and it was great. Watching our boy do their thing it was an all out celebration. 3 points baby lets keep it going!

RJ looked really comfortable tonight. CBs looked suspect on some over the top speed balls, but hung in there and recovered fine. But, as I said previously...sometimes the best defense is a good offense and we were attacking from start to finish. I was hard on Villa of late...but unless it was different on TV, I didn't see him complaining at all tonight. Clearly his best game of the season...he was even mixing it up on defense. First time I really saw a "team" out there. It was finally good to see some good football. A lot of effort out there tonight. I loved watching my 10 year old son start yelling "release the Poku" all on his own...and boy, was he ever released lol. The dude is a game changer. Great team win, crowd was into it, beautiful night out, beers were cold...what more can you want. If this team makes a run...should be pretty incredible at the stadium. It's going to be pretty cool when Super Frank finally shows the hell up and whenever this mystery 3rd DP does. Good win guys.

What a game. Best performance I've seen since opening day. Even the players who were shit still busted their asses. They felt like they were in sync.

Villa played like the captain that we need. He was all over the place.

Poku is a damn beast. This kid needs to play more. Why are we even still discussing this?

Mix is just a beautiful man. He's going to be even better when Lampard is by his side.

Add Pirlo into this and we might have a decent team.

On top of all this the weather was just damn perfect at the stadium.

Time to pull one out.
