Good on him. I always liked that guy. He just can't seem to find the back of the net enough as a striker, but I always thought he'd be a dangerous and effective player in the right system.
he looks like a player who has found his confidence. looks completely different from how he played with us. did cushing destroy his mojo? glad he's doing well cause he always worked his butt off.

In his most recent interview, Sims talked about what they were looking for in a coach and what they like about Pascal and he went out of his way to talk about communicating with players about where they stand:
That's one thing that I think is really important, especially with young players, but all players. All players want to know where they stand, and what they need to be doing better, and if they're not starting, or if they get dropped from the starting lineup, why, and what do they have to do to be playing a week, and I he's done all of that, and so we've been very, very pleased from that.
They have been careful not to badmouth Cushing, but I think this was pretty telling. If Cushing did a poor job communicating to players about where they stood, I can certainly see how that could mess with their confidence.
Judging by his press conferences I could see Cushing's main problem being tough messages. I imagine him telling everyone they're doing all the right things and thus telling no one anything even as he thinks he is being a positive motivator. Of course, this is pure speculation.
