NWSL resuming play in early September. Not quite full league play but a sort of mini tournament with three pods of three teams.

Yes, nothing, don't follow any particular team. I follow the league's Twitter account where they announce televised matches, and I also use the Live Soccer TV app.Any of you follow the NWSL? And if so, what do you read/watch/listen to in order to get ready for the weekend games? Thinking about dabbling with Gotham fc this year and potentially the Royals return next year
Yeah, I definitely want to go to a match this season. Even if it's at that stadium LOLGotham made some moves this winter. Bringing in Rose Lavelle, Crystal Dunn, Emily Sonnett, and Tierna Davidson. All USWNT members. I can’t wait to watch them ball out and go for a repeat!
Going to second that. I cannot wait to see Rose play. All of them should be exciting but Rose is a mf-ing ballerRose is so good. This team will be fun to watch.
There will likely come a time when we have an NYCFC in the NWSL, playing at Willets, and Gotham FC are the hated derby rivals from Jersey. But until that day...
im confused, arent there MLS teams that already own teams in NWSL? will those teams leave and go to MLS one ?
Exclusive: MLS planning launch of a women's soccer league after the 2027 Women's World Cup, multiple sources tell Scarves and Spikes.
Minimum of 10 teams to start. MLS looking to capitalize on growth of women's game in U.S.
Yeah, this doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Why not partner with the NWSL, like Gotham playing in RBA? Competing with them will just fragment the market, plus there's already another lower tier league, with a new team in Brooklyn just about to start up, so now we're talking about reallly oversaturating things perhaps. NWSL is already very popular, and growing. Partnering with them (and expanding) make tons more sense then competing with them in a new league.
Does anyone expect MLS to play nice in the sandbox? See US Open Cup and Leagues Cup.Yeah, this doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Why not partner with the NWSL, like Gotham playing in RBA? Obviously not a great job by them for how it got here but I do want to give kudos to them for owning the mistake and publicly apologizing for it.Scarves and Spike have retracted the story as well.
