While I appreciate what sbrylski has posted and his analysis is spot on, Beckerman is a maniac d-mid with great vision to distribute the ball to the offensive third. While Poku has both defensive and attacking abilities, so far he has mostly played a attacking mid or even a forward role in most of his teams. I haven't seen anything yet that tells us he has the vision of Beckerman. Once he does we can start predicting KB 2.0.
Personally, right now in MLS, I feel Perry Kitchen at DC or Will Trapp at Columbus might have the inside track to "replace" Beckerman on the USMNT. Another two interesting possibilities are Danny Williams at Reading or Alfonso Morales in Germany.
