So I went to the Chalk Talk today (well Thursday) with the Chief Infrastructure Officer of NYCFC (CFG). We didn't learn anything new about the stadium...
But in regards to the academy building, the soccer field is called a tablet that where 1.5 pitches can be painted in order to rotate the pitch in order to not overwork the grass and save on maintenance. So it can be north and south one way, east and west another way, etc, etc.
Also the plot of land is 17-18 acres and they have the ability to construct two more pitches (just pitches, not tablets) on the land they still own but will not develop in Phase 1.
