NYCFC Training Facility Thread

The Union’s facility is incredible. No reason a club like NYCFC shouldn’t have this. This is what a commitment to sustainable excellence looks like. Myriad of places in the tri-state area where this could be housed

i think the club will eventually invest in a much larger training facility. the current facility was built before a II squad existed and a future one would probably be built to accommodate both the senior squad and the II squad, as well as possibly provide a place for academy games.

I just think the club is focused on getting a stadium built first. My guess is we won't see an upgraded, larger training facility (maybe an expansion to what's already in orangeburg?) until at least after the stadium is built. definitely a long ways away, but sort of understandable as a stadium is definitely a club priority and fan priority.

I really wish/hope more clubs invest in these types of training facilities. Developing young talent has helped the Union immensely over the past few years and more importantly has added depth to the USMNT. The only other facility on this scale I can think of would be Dallas and we all know how consistently the talent they produce turns out. Imagine if all or most clubs were spending like this? The future is bright.

The creation of MLS academies is a big contributor to the glut of young talent on the USMNT. This isn't a golden generation. It's an improvement that came from investment, and it's only going to increase.
