Wow. TR killed it with this TIFO. Amazing job!

If that's what he really said, I'd prefer if our Captain didn't say stuff like that. We need a Captain who doesn't look/sound frustrated more often than not.

Frustration is not a good leadership quality.

I disagree. I prefer captains that wear their hearts on their sleeve. I wouldn't want to hear some spoon fed answer like, "It was a tough season, but we are really excited about our future blah blah blah". I want to hear true emotion from the leadership. "We were shit and we need to do better."

You definitely saw a different game than I did. That was a horror show. I'm glad you enjoy watching the team miss the goal.
Well, our "like" counts as of late Monday morning are almost dead even so apparently opinions on which game was seen are pretty evenly divided.

Welcome to a typical day on the NYCFCforums!

After watching it back when I got home (yeah I know, idiot)...I have a differing take than most. I was almost happy with our 3 DP offense. You had Villa with his dribbling, Pirlo setting things up and Lampard playing the edge. Yes, we didn't score, but if the chemistry is there and the timing is better...they be hard to stop. Wingert and T-Mac had several opportunities...they just lacked the skill to convert. Which is the issue. T-Mac and Wingert aren't starting caliber players, they are rotational subs with maybe a few spot starts. On the offensive side, we need a pure strong striker to take over that box. The biggest issue yesterday and in a lot of games is our DM thinks he's an offensive play-maker...it's not a coincidence that every successful counter has Jacobson MIA. Whether it's him or Jason's direction, the dude has to learn to stay back. Our defense as a whole is very underwhelming...it's actually pathetic at times. We have some of the best DP's in the league, but they don't mesh with guys that can't handle 1st touches and anticipate plays/runs. We need tactically skilled players here. I know some of these guys bust their ass out there and that's great...but we need players with soccer intuition on this team, not athletes. The team is trying to mesh American soccer with European soccer and it doesn't work.

I heard they scrapped the Bernie Sanders "when men and women stand together for justice, we win" tifo at the last minute.

I'm happy they did that, political slogans have no place in sports barring a few rare circumstances. For example were Detroit to get a team I think something like a tifo saying "The Detroit xxyy, so corrupt they make FIFA look good" were we to have lost to them on a bullshit ref call or something.

Gene posted this is the other thread. Anyone notice the conspicuous lack of a certain Ned in the picture?
