How many NYCFC fans spend their day harping and moaning about RB Harrison or Hofstra roaches business? We dont care or feel threathened by them. Making fun of us is the only way to cope with tge fact that we're already more relevant than them without having played a single game.
As someone else pointed out on twitter (think it may have been RT'ed by Nick Chavez), it's kind of hard to get too much more ridiculous than "New York Red Bulls"
And they play in jerseys that make them look like red bull cans.
Fans for other teams really hate us. As a Yankee Fan, all I can say is get used to it and enjoy. Hard to be offended when 99% of the responses are lame. I did like "The No-Pennant Tenants" and "The Team Money Built FC"... at least two tried to be witty.

EVERYONE pays a franchise fee to MLS for a team (a fee that's going up every year). So EVERYONE is guilty of "buying" rather than "building" a team.
Seattle Sounds paid $40 million to join MLS in 2009.
Montreal Impact also paid $40 million in 2010.
Orlando City paid $70 million.
NYCFC paid the current fee of $100 million.

I like the idea about NYCFC = Money. It should be expected. Nothing worse than a cheap NYC team ::cough:: Mets ::cough::

Going forward, everything points to the MLS franchise fee is $100 millions.
