One World Center Observatory Preview Opportunity This Weekend

How about the elevator ride down? I would imagine that would be worse for someone with height issues. FWIW I have mild to moderate fear of heights but fortunately windows completely eliminates it for me.
To be frank the ride down was a bit unnerving due to the screens. It gave me a sense of vertigo and felt as if it was spinning. The Windows? I don't have that issue but was amused when my wife grabbed my belt as I went up to one to take a picture. I asked her "What are you doing?" her reply was "In case you fall I have you" I nearly died laughing at that thought when I pointed out most likely in the near impossible chance of that happening I would be taking her with me if she had my belt.

Off topic- I really hate the fact that they renamed this bridge. Then again I still refer to The "Jackie Robinson" Parkway as the Interboro.

Same. I use all the old names, none of this new stuff. I think they changed the name of the battery tunnel recently too.

Also I went Friday to the observatory, it was pretty awesome - def something im glad to have done but something I will also never do again. It was great that it was so empty thanks to having preview tickets, no wait time for anything and practically empty (4pm on Friday). Only wish I wold have brought some NYCFC gear =)

The ride down was equally unsettling. They show this video of a camera flying around the top of the building as you make your way down. It made me uneasy again. If you can manage it, it's absolutely worth the trip up.

Kyle, I swear you're my universe twin. That is exactly how I am. I will ride every coaster in Great Adventure, but ask me to ride the sky car and I'm a punk bitch. lol

Oh I went and saw it; that was why I asked. I thought it could create real vertigo issues for some people. And I agree it's worth the trip for everyone. If you think the elevators might unsettle you just close your eyes. It lasts barely a minute.

That's why I put it in quotes ... yeah bridges shouldn't be renamed unless they fall down and get rebuilt, or the person does something vile and disgusting like turn out to be a pedo, or Tom Brady and that whole ball deflating thing.

We are kind of polar twinsies - the same yet different - you have hair, I don't, you are black, I'm transparent, but we are the same on the important things, like rap, irrational fears, and loving asian ladies.

Yeah

I was helping my counsin from maine navigate (they had the phone GPS going, but I was doing the which lane to be in and how to not hit other cars navigating, and I kept saying battery tunnel, which is now the Hugh Carey (drew carey's brother?) tunnel.

It's confusing - stop changing things!

Ha! Hugh Carey was governor of NY state in the 70s. I didn't even know they renamed the tunnel after him. I do hate that. And let's not forget the Queensboro Bridge/59th Street Bridge which was recently renamed the Ed Koch Memorial Bridge, although pretty much nobody says that.

I thought it was the Ed Koch Memorial Queensboro Bridge. A mouthful there no matter what. I now have Simon and Garfunkel running through my head.
