Pitch Size And Condition Thoughts

What does everyone think of the pitch size at the stadium? It's set for 110x70? One of the smaller sized fields, how does that work for our particular style of play in your opinion? Also, laying the grass and takedown procedures? I wonder if this will hinder play at all and if it will interrupt/or provide any advantages or disadvantages? Just thought I would throw this out there. Let me know of we already have this discussion. Cheers!

Ya I think the laid grass part could be a bit dodgy at times from what I read of the game that was played there. Hopefully it pans out.

Thankfully, they're not dismantling the pitchers mound - that'd cause a lot of issues for Yankee fans

I'm pretty sure that they are dismantling the pitchers mound. Also, I think that the grass will look messed up on TV towards the infield of the baseball configuration since the grass they'll be adding won't align well. I think people were complaining they couldn't really tell if a ball was offside during the international matches because of this.

Prepare for 5949585577494949903 tweets about how awful it looks and bitching and whining about baseball stadiums, Garber, $100 million checks and more if you're still awake.

I believe that was the original plan last April, but I remember hearing it's no longer the case - plus if you look at the pictures of the field, the mound is to the left

I looked at the pictures and I think they just put a cover over part of the field that is the mound, but it's removed. Anyway, we'll see on 3/15.

I hope it's a disaster, I hope the field looks like crap for the Yankees after we play on it. I hope the baseball players complain about the infield. I hope it looks bad on TV.

Quickest way to us getting a stadium.
lol that wont speed up a stadium deal if anything they will sell their share and kick nycfc out of yankee stadium and make us look elsewhere to play.

During Wingert's Facebook Q&A he said that the pitch size would not affect the players because players focus on what they can control. There might be a learning curve relative to timing of runs and passes, but the effects should be minimal.
