Separating this from above post because it's so unrelated:
I'd be curious to hear from a long-time City fan the rationale behind why the Blue Moon crowd seems to pervasively and obsessively hate Liverpool. It's not like it's a long-standing rivalry, and most Liverpool fans I know or encounter at a minimum have a fondness and respect for how your team plays.
I mean, I get the bogey team thing, although that hasn't really kept City from winning any silverware, save the potential opportunity in UCL this year. But this hate goes back as long as I've had reason to encounter City fans (so as long as this forum and the bm crowd influx re: cookieburger). Is it more of a neighboring city rivalry thing between Manchester and Liverpool people? It seems so vitriolic from a lot of people on the MC side. Maybe it goes the other way, too, and I just haven't seen it or am semi-oblivious because I just chalk it up to people being idiots online. I'm genuinely curious
