Jasson has been the best player on the field. He’s pushing every chance he gets and running at defenders.
Bit disappointed with Ring. It’s his first action of the preseason so I get that he’s a bit off. Lots of misplaced passes from our starters in the half.

Forget scouting let’s just sign a bench full of U19s
Honestly from what I’ve seen of Jasson he’s better than a certain young dp we have sitting on our bench.

not really suprising. Ring has never been a super accurate passer and mishits balls all the time. preseason or end of season. same ole ring.

Of the players who started over 20 games last season, his passing accuracy was the best. Ofori had better % as well as Parks, but they don't try difficult passes. Not everyone can be a Pirlo all the time.
that stat is severely skewed based on the fact that ring plays a lot of balls back and forth with the CBs and maxi/parks in midfield with no actual progress. of the meaningful passes to get us out of pressure or move us forward, my eye says he tends to be a bit sloppy.
I love it. Was thinking the same thing. Jasson and De Rosario were in their heads for sure. Palmeiras was tackling hard and fouling for no reason just for the sake of being physical.
Nice to see the kids out there. We’ll need the depth this season.
I said last season that playing the middle CB in a 3ATB formation protects a player’s weaknesses and it’s where you stash the least experienced of the group - it’s the main reason Sands shined and also why Ring was able to play spot-duty as a CB. Sands has talent, but until he can lock down one of the two CB positions and show he can be left on an island as a play moves the defense around, then it’s gonna be a squad-rotation position for him.
most of those youngsters aren't signed and wouldn't be available for depth. i wouldn't mind signing de rosario and jasson for added depth. especially if we are making a run in CCL and USOC and keeping up performances in MLS.
Surely, but if a majority of his more difficult passes weren't at minimum okay, the % would be much lower. I'd say of his long passes roughly half are good. This time of the year he's rusty, as is everybody. It's the first game since October.
