Dear Members,
This Sunday we return to Pink Cow Arena to hopefully notch a win in the season series. Please review this plan and call to action thoroughly so that we can be a well-oiled machine on Sunday.
As you’re already aware, we had some sanctions handed down by MLS and Pink Cows that greatly restrict our typical game day experience. We have NO exemptions for this match. I repeat, there are ZERO exemptions. No flags of any kind, no banners of any kind, no streamers, ticker tape, confetti or others projectiles, no beach balls, no instruments of any kind and, of course, no smoke bombs, flares or other pyrotechnics. If you violate their policies and are caught, you will be arrested!
As I read through the list, I saw that we are allowed to bring food into the stadium. The directive reads exactly:
- Food is permitted into Red Bull Arena. Any outside food must be in a clear 12” x 12” x 3” gallon sized bag or smaller for inspection with all items inside being visible.
- One sealed non-alcoholic beverage of less than 20 ounces may also be brought in (seal will be broken and cap taken before entering Arena).
My call to action is to respond to Pink Cow sanctions with your money. Don’t give it to them! Bring your own food and a drink to the stadium in a clear bag at or below their dimension requirements. It’s legal and it’s a powerful way to make a statement without tarnishing the NYCFC supporter brand. Don’t spend a dime in their arena and it will be noticed. Can you imagine All 500+ of us not walking out to the concourse at half time and having our own “block party” right in our section? That’s a strong visual and I believe it would have a major impact.
For those traveling to the arena with us on the PATH train:
We will be meeting at Lilly O’Brien’s 18 Murray St. New York, NY 10007 at 2 pm. We will leave from here at 4:00 pm and walk to the PATH station at World Trade. We should arrive in Harrison at 4:47 pm.
For those traveling to the arena by other modes:
We will be meeting at the entrance/exit of Harrison Station around 4:47 pm and organizing our march to the stadium. If you do not wish to participate in the march to the stadium, please meet us in the North Lot in front of gate C1.
I would like to see as many NYCFC supporters as possible on the march to the stadium. Stay close to each other, look out of each other and BRING THE NOISE!
FULL LIST OF PROHIBITED ITEMS:
- Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and firearms
- Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics.
- Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals
- Any missile or projectile like object, ie. Streamers.
- Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
- Selfie sticks, professional camera equipment; tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras
- Laser pointers
- Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones)
- Pets or animals of any kind (with the exception of service animals).
- Water guns, toy/replica weapons, squirt bottles, soap bubbles, etc.
- Beach balls, frisbees, confetti, balloons, brooms, skateboards, roller blades, skates, etc.
- Bottles, cans, coolers, containers.
- Any other items deemed to be inappropriate or dangerous by the club or venue management.
- Prohibited items discovered during inspections at the Arena entrances must either be returned to owner’s vehicle or discarded. The Arena will not provide a storage area for these items. Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to confiscation and the person in possession of those items subject to arrest. Guest arriving by mass transit must take particular caution not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.
