Rbny Reduces Available Tickets To 500

Sweet Christmas ! Or can we not use that one anymore. Sorry for Nerdjacking the thread..

Back To Red Bull hatred. Seriously do they not expect these thousand people just to end up mixed in the crowd somewhere else and for more trouble ?

Some members of the supporter group were burning the small red NY vs NY towels outside RBA, I was there watching and saw security breaking it up. Maybe this had something to do with that. Just buy tickets to other sections and move around.

Why the TR group don't organize a PETITION against this stupid decision of the NJRB ?
I don't agree with the decision, but neither TR nor any other supporter group has much leverage or credibility because a few individuals can't follow simple directives, and it's going to get worse. A "petition" does little good when you are compiling it from the Chateau Bow Wow.

I suspect the theory is that limiting the number of people who are surrounded by like-thinking crowds will reduce the enthusiasm for bad behavior. It's also giving TR and the other groups added incentive to police their members (and I know they are working on it). Yes, they may end up spreading the NYCFC fans throughout the stadium, but they are limiting the degree to which people will egg each other on to behave poorly.

Yes but if more people are mixed together aren't we increasing the odds of some idiot starting a fight?

Yes, I think it does. At best this reduces one risk for another, and maybe they're okay with that if in the long term it enables them to segregate the fans without people getting out of control.

Here is what I have heard the deal is (for what it's worth). This particular sanction is from the Red Bulls. However, the league also is reviewing infractions from our fans both at home and away games and likely will issue additional sanctions to our supporters. Nice job by a few knuckleheads publicly embarrassing our fan base and team, and causing continuing repercussions for everyone, OVER SMOKE. And I'm afraid we are doomed, as the few cannot help themselves (comments by the few on various other forums make clear that they are either too stupid, too selfish or too immature, or all of the above, to stop). SMH

This bolded part, so much. I've thought about getting into it via various social media/online sites with these guys, but based on the comments I see there, nothing I could possibly say would have any influence or productivity (plus I would end up with a billion facebook notifications)

Twitter folks reporting sanctions from the league mean we're only getting 530 tickets in the official allotment, all in the back of sections 219 & 220.

Cause that'll prevent us from buying tickets mixed into the crowd, so it'll just be a mess.

Would like to start discussing ticketing plans asap.

Im staying home helping mls ratings amd avoiding thay mess getting back to Queens. I'll save my money and energy for Yankee Stadium games.

As a college football guy, one of the things I love about MLS is that they have a separate visitors section. It's great to see the other team in their block of colors doing their own cheers. It's a terrific boost to atmosphere. That said, it is not a license to behave boorishly or disrespect your hosts.

I agree. I was at the First RB Match and How they treat Us vs how we treat Them is ridiculous. All I ever see is there guys starting shit with us. Screw them I'm not going to give New Jersey United Presented by Red Bull GmbH another dollar. I'd rather help the MLS ratings and avoid the BS.

That's it, fellas! Don't worry about showing support for the actual guys on the field, you enjoy the game from home!

I'll be there singing for the boys in blue.

Apparently the MLS sanction email went out to Third Rail. Purportedly, for the next 4 away matches no tifos, instruments or large flags. I'm not Third Rail - just Facebook hearsay.
