Seat Relocation In Progress Thread

Mine are updated in Cityzens, but the third seat I bought isn't in there yet.
Mine is similar. One seat's correct, the other hasn't changed yet. They said not to worry about that as it may take time to update though. Also, my points did carry over as well.

Just took about 30 seconds to migrate my seats to the back row of section 213! Standing room, great view, behind the goal, short beer run. I'm a happy bunny.
I did the exact same thing for the exact same reason! My seats are in 224 though, near the center line, short cheesesteak run.

Checked out my cityzens and they've got my seat numbers wrong. Instead of starting at 1 they start at 2. Still no call back from the rep I left a message for. boooooo.

Also check the account manager and act as if you are relocating seats, and see what they are showing as your actual seats(they will be shown in a different color). I think that's the most important sign you are ok, but I would still speak to a rep for comfort. I didn't even change seats and my cityzens account lists my seats incorrectly (because they changed some of the numbering this season, for example, where first rows were not listed as "1" last season).

So my appointment was at 9:30am. I did not request for an appointment, I liked my seats. Here is what happened:

I had 3 season tickets in the first row at Section 107 ( i can practically smell Pirlo) for last season. I downgraded to 2 seats, as my father who I took to the games retired and travels/spends most of his time in South America. They didn't seem to like the fact I left a one seat empty in the row.

They call to tell me, that unless I upgraded to section 106 for 2 seats and pay a little more I can still smell or see the guys warming up. Or again repurchase my 3rd seat. They gave me other options, in which i had to go 2 rows further up. (But I wanted to keep my seats which are great)

So in the end they convinced me to keep my third seat - which will me my Christmas/Bday gift for myself...sigh::. There is one line they used which I don't know if I was a fool or inspired, or marketing scheme.

My representative mentioned how "his family had front row season tickets to the rangers game, and that they were gold". And Im thinking about my future, should i have a family now at least I have front row seats. Also he said the front row seats are hot commodity (lets hope this is true).

So fellow friends let this be my announcement that for next season I have an extra ticket, and I will sell it at face value to any member in this forum (should it be available) . Just message me.

PS: Im the first in my family ever to hold season tickets or be a member of a club. Are there any folks out there who have season tickets to other teams and feel its worth it, specially having front row seats?

Those front row 107 are tier 4. I gotta imagine they are tier 4 based on the Yankee Stadium configuration. At a soccer specific stadium those tickets surely will improve a tier. Don't you think someone in the middle of tier 1/2/3 will be able to move to those seats when they relocate and you'd lose your hold on them?

I myself had relocated from 127b row 10 (new #s), to row 5. I want to work my way to the front of my section. Took all of 3 minutes since my only requirement was move up or do nothing.

Personally I stood in the entrance concession area and watched the game from behind the goal for a bit. Those seats looked like i would really enjoy them, versus where I am now. I want to work my current tickets down to the front of my section and and buy another 2 somewhere I could rally enjoy the game visually then sell my 127b tickets every week at break-even/profit.

Year 3 if i find my tickets don't sell well I may reduce from 4 back to 2 and just move permanently to my preferred viewing section giving up on 127b. So! back to my question, Those are tier 1 ticket. And if I find I really like the corner, I may just ask to take those front row seats from a tier 4 holder when the move happens. Who do you think NYCFC would side with the tier 1 or 4 ticket holder? Technically due to the move and reshuffling of seats I am not taking the spot of a current holder, as far as you know those seats are destined to be moved anyway.

This is all hypothetical at the moment, because in reality I want to buy the best seats for me, and I don't know what those will be in the new stadium. That is why I tried to seat myself in the middle of the field in a tier 1, I figured those would give me the chance to get similar seats in the SSS. But for those saying to people to hold on to front row seats as they are gold, my question is do they really have front row seats in year 4? They may find that they are bumped out of their general section by a higher tier.

When the stadium is finally ready, where you sit now won't matter, you'll get to select based on when you got your tickets; just as this seat selection process is being done. If you want to sit in tier 4 now and spring for front row sideline in the new stadium, if they are available to you when you pick, then that is your choice.

Seat selection at the new stadium has nothing to do with where your seats are now, or the seats you will have just before the new stadium opens (whenever that is). It will be based on the order in which you first bought season tickets. That's it. They won't map sections or tiers. Pick your seats now based on where you want to sit now. It has no effect on where you will sit in the new stadium. Which won't be for years anyway.

ETA: Rand Rand and I wrote exactly the same thing at almost exactly the same time.

right I figured it was something like that. One guy said to hold on to front row seats, my point I suppose I was trying to get to is, you're only holding on to front row for maybe 2 more years, so if you want to relocate don't let that stop you, cause it's going to change in 2 years (assuming they don't renew with YS).

So to be clear, you think the seating process is based on your account number? and not the current tier# or $ value of your tickets? So like someone who has an account number <100 could have bought nose bleed seats for 3 years then all of a sudden relocate to one of the best seats in the house? I gotta say I'm not a fan of that, even though its not likely to be common. I am betting 99.9% of people bought in the section they expect will be similar in the new stadium.

Anecdotally I will say I am really bummed about my account number. I was ready day 1 to buy season tickets the minute they were going to be available and I tired to get some friends to join me, but they were dilly dallying and I ended up buying way way late. I didn't know how the seating was going to be orders, I thought we were going to need similar purchase times to be near each other. I had no idea I could have bought early and moved to them, but in the meantime securing a low account number. I would have loved to think that my account could someday be a family heirloom passed down through generations like how other exclusive tickets. To say we have one of the first season tickets, and they were in the family for generations. Ah, well, they still can be, but at a higher #.

Can someone tell me how exactly to do this? I've gone into my account manager and I've gone into "manage my tickets" and I've gone into "Buy Packages/Tickets" on the bottom (which brings up the virtual venue with the entire 100-level in red and about half of the 200 level in red, which I don't think is accurate) but I don't see anything anywhere about how to relocate my seats online.

Your order of purchase and priority has nothing to do with your account number or any number on your account or cards or tickets. We tried to find a connection months ago and came up blank. You can guess based on when you bought but that's it. And it's been reported here that if you ask the ticket reps they won't tell you.

What is it your trying to do? I checked my account manager to see that it showed my new seats, and clicked on completed invoices and the new seats were listed there, as if those were my seats all along. If your looking to relocate your seats you need to call your rep, if you didn't indicate on your renewal you wanted to.

maybe that's what the problem is. I'm on the payment plan. In completed invoices it doesn't show all my seats. I'll have to contact my 'new' rep

Congratulations to all of us. We're socialist pussies who reward less than 100% effort. God dammit. I'm the worst. I'm giving them an extra $2k. But it's not just me. We're all guilty of being twats. I fucking hate our situation. I may have mentioned this.

Don't look at the completed invoices, click the New Invoices link instead. Then in the line that says "total invoice amount" click the Continue button. Then on the left hand side click the View Invoice Details link. A window will pop up with your new seats listed.

I felt a lot better when I found this.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd there it is! Thank you so much for this man. I ended up emailing my rep anyway but I got an auto response. This has the correct seats listed but in Citizens it's still off. Anyway thanks, I never would've found this. Kind of wish they'd hire s web designer with a more user friendly style.
