After last week's loss I went to Whiskey Town and the DJ had on the black NYCFC jersey. I took mine out of my bag and held it up and he started singing "im in love with the Poku!!!"
there were people at thr Chelsea/Dead Bull match with NYCFC kits, which I don't get. There were also people with Liverpool, Man U, Barca, National teams....never quite understood the need to wear ANY soccer jersey you have to a match. Doesn't happen in any other US sport
Welll....not entirely true. If I was to go to an NFL match that didn't involve my Steelers (of course this would happen during a bye week or while the Steelers are not playing), I would wear my Steelers jersey.
And I've seen this occur many times at NFL games, or MLB games.
Coming off my train into Grand Central yesterday morning, I am pretty sure I saw a few players gathered to take the train up to practice. There were 4 guys wearing the Adidas warmups gathered together at the end of the platform. As I walked by, a huge guy came over to join them. He was tall, thick and had a bushy beard. I now think that may have been Nemec.
It was crowded, and I couldn't really linger to be sure. They may not have been players, but that big guy was hard to miss, and Nemec is growing out his hair and has a beard at the moment.
