Yeah, they were the only 3 left, so not surprising. I still think that if Yonkers would have not pulled out then it would have been them not the Mets.

Man the amount of construction and disruption for the first few years of our stadium is going to be massive. Also pretty uncomfortable with sports betting to be that close to multiple sports arenas, but I guess that's the way of the world these days.
Which team will have a player engulfed in a gambling scandal first - us or the Mets?

Meh I view it as just another place that will have bars (hopefully subsidized by the gambling). The real degeneracy is gambling with a device you have in your pocket 24/7 anyways.

That's true. I mean you'll be able to make a full day out of going to an NYCFC game if you want to -- it becomes kind of like the Battery in Atlanta or the ballpark village in St. Louis. Just another way for big business to separate us from our money.
I wouldn’t mind sports betting if it wasn’t in your face so much. I remember going to the Saratoga Raceway as a kid and my parents asking what number I wanted. It was fun and innocent. Having stadiums filled with sports betting ads and every other commercial on the NFL, MLB, CFB, MLS, etc be a sports betting commercial… it just feels a little sinister.
As well it should.
Have to say that one of the things I was looking forward to was tailgating on match days. Looks like parking will be limited to garages once construction on the casino is completed.

Well, there is now going to be a park there instead of asphalt, but you should still be able to stretch out and enjoy the day in that space.
