Does anyone think they pump in sound for "VILLA!" after he scores a goal?

He's the most well-known player, and his name is ridiculously-easy to say. I'm assuming that when other players score, some fans don't know how to say their name so it doesn't sound as loud.

In short, no I don't -- every time I go people are just louder when they're yelling Villa's name and quieter, less confident when yelling for someone else.

I never got a chance to weigh in on my reaction to Patricof saying that Harlem River was not an active site. After all the excitement and speculation and discussion after the RPIE became public, it was kind of a let down. But perhaps it should have been seen as positive.

All that excitement was appropriate on finding out that the Club had put in a real proposal for a site that would be terrific. What Patricof said is that there are 2-3 other sites that are "active" - meaning there is more going on with them than there is with Harlem River. That's actually pretty good news, and hopefully thing will start rolling downhill with one soon (or perhaps already is). Fingers crossed.

I didn’t see it mentioned, but I found it interesting that Councilman Moya was one of the people on the field giving Villa the proclamation from the city.

They’ve been friends for a while, so that wasn’t too surprising. Still good to see though.

I expect an announcement of some positive stadium news strategically released within moments of the announcement of PV's departure.

Over 4,200 pages of e-mails released between DeBlasio and his aides and the only things I've found regarding NYCFC are talking about the youth soccer fields and hitting us up for a donation for a silent auction.

Was this some sort of a Panama Papers thing?

Nothing on Patricof, Edelman, Abu Dhabi, etc, terms either.
Makes you wonder if we've been trying to go through the State for the majority of our inquisitions.
I don't accept that these emails are complete. I searched for Willets and also found nothing. That is a city site. Either de Blasio deleted emails, conducts business without email, or emails were withheld as non-responsive to the request.
